Guest guest
I completely agree, Lea Ann! I think one of my biggest issues with my ailments is that I WAS drinking a lot of water, but it was tap water, which is LOADED with nasty stuff. Thinking I was doing a good thing, I switched to bottled "purified" water, only to learn it was nothing more than bottled tap water with an EXTRA chemical "purifier" in it. Then I learned that "enhanced" water was just bottled purified water with even MORE chemical garbage in it. GEEEZ. Finally, I switched to spring water (which I go to incredible lengths to obtain) and SEA SALT, which contains none of the chemical "anti caking agents" in table salt. Once I started drinking QUALITY water, and replaced table salt with real sea salt, things REALLY started to improve for me. Thanks for posting the links. From: Lea Ann Savage <lsavage@...>Subject: The Water Cure Date: Sunday, October 17, 2010, 6:51 AM This information changed my life almost as much as drinking Green Smoothies did. http://www.watercure2.org/ http://curezone.com/foods/watercure.asp Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))><
Guest guest
Hey, it works for clothes, cars, cigarettes and everything else!! I hope you post that article. My 16 year old son never listened to me either. He would eat the worst crap in the world and was the king of chicken nuggets and fries. He would come grocery shopping with me and look at all the junk in the frozen food section and when I would point out that something had 50% or more calories from fat he would get all mad at me and storm off. It's always my fault! lol Lately, however, he has come around on his own and is shunning fast food, drinking much more water, working out, and asking for smoothies. Now if I even suggest fast food he gets all mad at me for that!!! I guess they have to figure it out on their own when the time is right. Fran In a message dated 10/17/2010 3:52:47 P.M. Guest guest
That would be money well spent! Or maybe you could pay some of his friends to start drinking more water and he and the rest of the kids in your area will follow the trend. lol I have that book and read it a long time ago. I always use his formula for the amount of water I SHOULD be drinking, but I know I fall way short. Maybe it's time to re-read the book and get inspired to step it up! You are AWESOME and I know the laughs will be treasured and that I'll probably have multiple. *****Here you go, Lea Ann-just a quick little "study" about the effects of water on a growing boy...NEW STUDY REVEALS ADEQUATE WATER INTAKE IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT TO YOUNG MENWe all know the importance of drinking plenty of good water, but new research shows that proper water intake is mostimportant to young men between the ages of 13 and 22. Around the age of 13, many growing boys are beginning to take measures to build up their muscles to sufficient levels to attract members of the opposite sex. In order to obtain that goal, growing boys need to plump up the muscle tissue by consuming at least half of their body weightin ounces of water per day. Anything less will give them muscle mass equivalent to PeeWee Herman, and will defeattheir efforts to flex those guns to impress the girls. Any good Boy Scout knows that in being prepared, water is atthe top of the list. Just as water is essential to survival, it is also known for keeping the complexion clearand bright, thus enhancing the young man's appeal with the ladies. An Eagle scout quite likely has a specialflask for carrying a good supply of water, and knows that drinking it keeps his mind clear, and his body functioningwell enough to handle any crisis which might arise. The study further reveals that young men who are naturally attracted to water, such as those who enjoy surfing, fishing, or maintaining a fish aquarium, are more likely to recognize the important role water plays in theirdaily life. The ones who embrace this knowledge are more likely to consume adequate levels of water, sincethey already recognize the life giving force water has on nature. They would realize that an improper supplyof water would diminish fishing and surfing greatly, as would a low level of water in a fish tank. Low levels of water in a young man's system is the equivalent of a guppy gulping for water in his near empty glass domain, ortrying to ride ankle busters in a kiddie pool. Those who embrace carving the tube, will certainly have a stopat the billabong for a nice, long, hydrating drink of water before hanging 10. In summary, wise young men will instinctively know that drinking plenty of water is the bomb! The issue of GETTING enough water into the system can be challenging, since water is..well, boring. Smashing up some icein a high tech kitchen blender is one way to take in extra water, as is making popsicles with water with freshslices of fruit frozen in to them. Hiding a few berries in the center of a popsicle can make a fun treasurehunt or game. Guys in the know, KNOW that glugging down fresh water will put them miles ahead of the nerds who are content to swig downRed Bull and Mountain Dew, when water is the key to being awesome. DRINK UP. Impress your mother without her having to nag! .._,___

Guest guest
I’ve been drinking half my weight in ounces of water for about 25 years. I love it. I just found out, though quite surprisingly that my salt and potassium levels are low. For the same 25 years I’ve cut way down on salt, never knowing that with all this water I can eat lots more sea salt because I drink so much water. Guest guest
HI Lea Ann & , I got very engrossed in reading this email thread until I realized that my 8 year old daughter, Paige, had been in the bathtub for 45 minutes! She will do anything to avoid actually going to bed! Aside from all the fun and funny stuff, do you guys actually do the sea salt thing with the water, or just salt your food? I've heard of this guy before, but was told his book about being in prison and treating the prisoners with water was pretty scientific and hard to get through. Which one of his books do you recommend? I know that adding salt to your water is recommended for people with adrenal fatigue as their bodies don't retain water well. I got a little confused about the bagel thing--does the bagel act like a sponge and keep the water in your stomach longer? I would use any excuse to eat a good bagel with cream cheese, lol, except that you can't get good bagels in Richmond. We only have an Einsteins bagels and their bagels are really weird and soft and full of air holes, not like " real " bagels in New York, right ? Oh goody, let's start another " food debate! " I wonder also why oj is a no-no for people with asthma? I have asthma, but the only oj I ever drink is about 1 oz or so that I mix my cod liver oil in to help get it down. Not to get really personal, but I will anyway, I do drink a lot of water, but I have to pee constantly; it drives my family crazy. The only thing that seems to have helped are the Chinese herbs my acupuncturist gave me for my " kidney chi " deficiency. I could go on and on (I get very OCD when it comes to my health,) but does the salt & water combo really help? thanks for the laughs & the info, Joyce
Guest guest
Turned 15 yesterday (bless his teenage little heart). He likes to fish and surf. He has a lot of girl FRIENDS, but not a girlfriend yet. He is in weight training class, so jokes about his "guns" abound. He has a great sense of irony and humor. He is a Boy Scout, working towards Eagle (hopefully). He's struggling in Spanish - so I would assume that drinking enough water is proven to improve Spanish grades ;-) He has an aquarium - I bet you can work with that (drinking aquarium water - not a good idea?) You are AWESOME and I know the laughs will be treasured and that I'll probably have multiple. DRINK UP. Guest guest
, have you ever been tested or tried an elimination diet for undiagnosed food allergies? They are VERY often the cause of issues like fibro and chronic fatigue, and doctors often fail to recognize the connection. I have friends that suffered for years (myself included) who are now thriving and pain free AND energetic, simply after identifying and eliminating allergens. Happy to help, if you are interested in considering that approach. The Vitamix makes allergy free cooking a breeze, so you are already on the right track. This information changed my life almost as much as drinking Green Smoothies did. http://www.watercure2.org/ http://curezone.com/foods/watercure.asp Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)www.VitamixLady.comwww..com <))><
Guest guest
Joyce, you SHOULD be passionate about your health, so feel free to post long questions-it is how we all learn. The more someone knows about someone else, the more they can help. You saying that you pee a lot is actually a good clue-frequent urination is often a SYMPTOM of many things, including dehydration, believe it or not (one would think it means the opposite) Peeing a lot can mean that your body is not absorbing enough of the water you drink. Adding extra sea salt can help the tissues assimilate the water better and correct the adrenals which are " flushing " the water from you in the form of urine. Once you drink MORE water (yes, with sea salt in) you will actually pee LESS, as your body absorbs it better. Clear as mud, I know, lol. I have always used salt to the excess, but I now know that it is because my body craved and needed it, not just because I liked the taste. Little did I know that table salt is full of garbage that defeats the purpose of having salt to begin with! Table salt is toxic! Sea salt (the real stuff anyway) is loaded with trace minerals that the body knows how to process efficiently. I have actually found that by correcting my water imbalance and adrenal issues (still working on those) that my taste for salt has decreased dramatically. I buy WHOLE sea salt, which is wet and chunky. I add it to one or two of my daily glasses of water, and sprinkle it liberally on food. If I want a finer salt, I just grind it in a salt mill (or buzz some up in the VM) I also add salt to my raw milk sometimes-I can tell when my body needs it, and I like the way it tastes! (I know, I am weird) > > HI Lea Ann & , > > I got very engrossed in reading this email thread until I realized that my 8 year old daughter, Paige, had been in the bathtub for 45 minutes!
