,

We are doing fine.  I don't think I posted after Noah's trip to Cincinnati in

March.  It is just so overwhelming at times to even think about his condition

and then to tell others what is going on.  In March they were going to remove

the lingual tonsils (not the regular ones-he already had those out) and then do

a tongue resection.  Well about 10 minutes into the surgery, Dr Rutter comes out

and says there has been a change of plans.  Of course that is not new for us.

He said that Noah had that cobblestone look in his airway again.  They couldn't

even see the base of his tongue.  So they opted to just remove the lingual

tonsils and have us go back in May to see what his airway looks like then.  They

also think they may be able to strengthen the area around his current trach with

a procedure that is much simpler to do, and they may try that in May as well.

Of course we don't count on anything until it happens.  So we will be on trip

number

seven in less than a year. Can't really complain though, at least they got him

diagnosed with the Pulmonary AVM's and are trying to get his trach out.  Noah

continues to struggle with playing as he gets winded easily.  We pray he won't

get worse.

Have a great Easter!

Sue Carr

How are things at your house?  I'm having surgery tomorrow on my are.  The

surgeon is going to try to repair the damage done by the needles at dialysis.

I'll have a central line until the bruising goes away.

If the repair doesn't work I'll get a shunt instead.

Hope this finds you ready for Easter and warm weather.  It's good to have the

sunshine back.

Any one use that zumba, I am getting tempted to order it, but wanted to see if anyone uses it.FrancieMother of 4 beautiful childrenTeacherFrom: Navarro <navarrosarah@...>Subject: Just checking innavarrosarah@...Date: Saturday, June 5, 2010, 9:39 AM

It's going to be so hot here today (probably around 97) so I got up early (6:00 AM) and went for a 5 mile walk. I plan to do something else later, but just in case I don't get to it, at least I got my walk in for today. Hope everyone is doing great. Have a great weekend.

Francie,

I am so glad you asked that question. I have two DVDs they put out a very long

time ago and I like them well enough. You made me thing to google what else they

have put out. I know several friends who enjoy their classes and have made

mention of wanting to purchase DVDs also. The preview of their newer stuff looks

pretty good! http://www.zumba.com/us/shop/action/view/productId_188/

I will have to hunt for a cheaper price on it though!! I love Latin dance!

Are you working out with any programs right now?

Thank you for being a teacher!

I am using the firm right now. I like the firm, but right now I have no results and I have been exercising for over a month at least 5 times a week. I know I need to get my eating to only fruits and veggies and such and I am working on that, but you would think with all that exercising something would happen.I do feel stronger and can tell I am getting into shape, but it is frustrating.FrancieMother of 4 beautiful childrenTeacherFrom: a <paulajfrey@...>Subject: Re: Just checking inTo:

The thing I DISLIKE about the Firm and so many other videos is that they set

unrealistic expectations with what you should achieve in by their before and

afters.

You are right - diet is a HUGE factor and the one I struggle with the most, but

all you exercising will be rewarded. Even if you didn't see any loss whatsoever

and kept working out - what you wouldn't see as you aged would be further weight

gain that keeps up with the national average, what you also don't see is your

bone's getting stronger and you insurance against oseoporosis getting better, or

your arterires getting clearer, your blood pressurer lower and your heart

younger. That doesn't show itself on the scale. Your skin will also remain

younger as will your mind. Not on the scale.

Exercise for weight loss does work best when coupled with a smart sensible

moderate calorie (not too low not too high) diet that does involve fruits,

veggies, complex carbs, lots of lean protein, healthy fats, limited chemicals

and limited bad fats and simple sugars from non fruit sources. Your body is like

a car. You can put the same amount of oil in two Hondas, but if one Honda gets

and oil change, flush and high grade oil, it will run better than the other car

who just gets oil added. They might travel down the same road, but the first

Honda gets there much much faster. And a Honda that doesn't travel down the road

at all loses the ability to.

Dont' get discouraged. Treat your body like a machine and worry about the inside

mechanisms and the outside will eventually start to take care of itself. Honda

will become Lexus with the pretty gold signs and higher end leathers. ;-)

I have been out in the humidity all day - sound don't mind me if I sound like a

crazy person.

Which Firms do you like best? What size weights do you lift for the various

exercises? What are your diet weaknesses?

Hey thanks for responding. I like the body sculpting with the steps, but I have tried the others with just the weights and I think I like those as well. My favorate is the aerobics with weights, last time I bumped some up to 8 lbs. For the lat row I need a heavier weight than I have. My heaviest is a 10 lb, but I just use that.

Eating is hard because I have four children who willl NOT eat healthy. I like veggies, but it is expensive to get my food and "their" food as well, but I am trying to incorporate the two. Discouragement does not help either.

I also have a fatty liver and a low thyoid, which I take medication for, but it is still a challenge to lose weight.FrancieMother of 4 beautiful childrenTeacher> > From: a <paulajfrey@...>> Subject: Re: Just checking in> > Date: Saturday, June 5, 2010, 10:59 PM> > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > Francie, > > I am so glad you asked that question. Hey their,

I have been making a bit of progress in my daily routine.

Currently when I get up in the morning I have been Oil Pulling for 20 minutes,

rinse clean and tongue scrape (I use a spoon).

Then I'll do a Kidney Bladder flush drink from Dr Schulze.

20 - 30 minutes later I'll have my probiotic with a tblspn of Udos oil and also

a scoop of Perfect Food. I try and do this twice a day. I also have a

probiotic before lunch as well.

With breakfast and dinner I'm having 3000 iu of Vitamin D3.

I do however consistently eat Ice Cream (sugar) as an emotional crutch. I find

myself at a point where I want to leave my sugar consumption behind and really

begin to heal my body. In fact I feel like I have been here for several years,

stammering at the gate. I also feel a bit short on resolve or discipline. I am

aware of the positive impact that not ingesting all that sugar will have on my

life. I have read and heard about picking a date.

I'm choosing today July 11th 2012 as the day I begin living sugar free.

Please keep me in your prayers.

I hope your all in good spirits and feel good physically.

Hi Sidepull,It is really good to hear from you. I am putting you in my prayers that the sugar becomes a non issue for you. In a lot of ways it sounds like you are doing well. I've struggled with the sugar issue for years! I hope your resolve is still strong. I myself struggle with sugar but it is

usually because I can't seem to not stop myself from having sugar in my cup of

tea. However, I am down to only one cup of tea a day. And the rest of the

time, I stay away from sugar...although I do sometimes have that ice cream urge.

So I satisfy myself with having sugar free ice pops. They are cold and taste

good. And it is enough for now.

It is weird, the Itraconazole seems to have solved my sugar cravings. I am hoping it is for good; I've always had intense dessert cravings, but have not had any for a long time now. I've also been taking Candex, so maybe that is helping. I eat about 1-2 pieces of fruit a day, but don't eat more than that. On a strict candida diet even fruit is not allowed. My husband loves those popsickles too. From: "mitesbegone" <no_reply >bird mites Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 1:16:35 PMSubject: Re: Just Checking InI hope your resolve is still strong. Thank you all for the replies. It's always good to get your input. Nothing

like someone who gets it...

I did not stay OFF sugar.

Somewhere at the same time I found myself thinking that right NOW in my life

this may be the best I can do. And maybe I can be grateful for the progress I

am making and as I get more re-established I can continue to chip away at this.

I'd like grow into that guy that can lovingly embrace my humanity.
