Hello a,

Montessori is a teaching philosophy/method founded by Dr.

Montessori. It is a method that can also be used in Homeschooling. At the

bottom of this e-mail you will find three links with great information.

Montessori was the first woman physician and was born in Italy in

1870. She said, " Scientific observation has established that education

is not what the teacher gives; education is a natural process spontaneously

carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to

words but by experiences upon the environment. The task of the teacher

becomes that of preparing a series of motives of cultural activity, spread

over a specially prepared environment, and then refraining from obtrusive

interference. Human teachers can only help the great work that is being done,

as servants help the master. Doing so, they will be witnesses to the

unfolding of the human soul and to the rising of a New Man who will not be a

victim of events, but will have the clarity of vision to direct and shape the

future of human society. " - Montessori, Education for a New

World

Here are a couple of links with the URL addresses below the link in case it

does not work. These web pages will answer a lot of your questions

regarding Montessori Schools and the Teaching Methods.

Thanks .

Training is going good. I started training with a partner, so I

really have been training harder than ever. I use to always workout

alone and I liked it that way, but someone asked me to coach them and

we workout together and it has made a difference. I can't wait to

see what this 12 weeks brings.

I'm going to Elko, NV this weekend for the Make-A-Wish Benefit

Banquet. Get to meet Everett Herbert and hopefully Bill as

he will be a special guest there!

You just made my day brighter! It will be a pleasure to see you

again. Yes, let's sit together. My Chiropractor and his wife will be

there as well.

I will probably be at the GNC earlier Saturday as Everett will be

there with his EAS Corvette signing autographs!

I now have many late night informercials memorized. Does that give you a clue on what I had been doing????? Not much, though the couch and I are on intimate terms!!!!! My pain is manageable now. I take Percocet, when it gets really bad and that is doing the trick.

Love, Lee

Hi Bill

Welcome back :-) I understand your frustration with people not seeing your

product for what it is but just for the price. I have been having some

troubles trying to find a good market to sell my wares at. I have now

joined an arts & crafts market in an historic tourist town where I am the

only stall holder selling toiletries/soaps etc and hope that my problems

will be over. But at many other markets I went to people would say oh, they

look lovely but why are they so expensive and then go off and buy the mass

produced soaps someone else was selling. It is very disheartening.

I hope that you are able to find your niche and wish you the best of luck.

Regards

WB

Hunter Valley in Oz

> After much thought, prayer & consideration I have decided to stay in

business as a soapmaker, I have also joined a few more soapmaking lists that

are designed specifically towards the selling of soaps. Also, I went to a

craft fair yesterday and discovered why I had so much trouble selling my

soaps. There are at least three other soapmakers are selling bars of soap

that are 1/2 the size of mine or smaller for $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00. So,

I belive that people are not seeing the size of the bars that I sell

(between 4 and 5 oz. each) just the price $3.50 each or 3 for $10.00. I may

reduce my price to $2.00 and just reduce the size of my soap bars, or, I

might concentrate on online sales and keep my bars the same size and price.

I honestly have not decided yet.

Greta:

It sounds like has made great strides. Kudos to her!

It was heartwarming to read about her teacher's willingness to work with her.

So often we only hear of the teachers and schools who put up roadblocks to our

kids' success. My 12 yo son is currently having difficulty with school Os and

Cs, and his team has been trying very hard to figure out ways to help him. I am

so grateful that they use a team approach in his middle school as I am able to

speak with the team on any given day, and I actually know all his teachers

(except for specials, like art, keyboarding, etc.). This was a big concern to

me when he transitioned to middle school. Thank you for sharing 's story.

Hi Greta, I really enjoyed your post and reading about all the positive

things happening in your lives. It is exciting when things start moving in

our children's recovery. 's teacher is a jewel and sharing about your

experience with her goes a long way to balance the negative experiences with

teachers I think we've all had.

OCD free vacations are a blessing, I've thought if we could live at

Disneyworld or Kings Island, Kel would no longer qualify for the diagnosis,

her symptoms fall so low. I'm glad got this break and I'm sure it

did everyone good. A wonderful Christmas present for the whole family! ps.

Kel has never cracked her knuckles, but has done other fiddly habit-type

things compulsively, such as snap her fingers, and drum them constantly on

the table.

I'm sure will continue to make progress with the new counselor, and

it sounds as though things are really falling into place treatment-wise.

I'm sorry I don't remember about 's experiences with SSRIs previously,

but if she never got to a therapeutic dose in the past due to side-effects,

you may want to encourage titering up extremely slowly to minimize these.

I never had a chance to be in the closet with OCD, as my young child told

anyone and everyone about it as soon as she picked up the word during the

diagnostic process. This bothered me to begin with as I felt our family had

no privacy on the subject, but it also led to several situations such as you

had with 's teacher. So many others shared about anxiety disorders in

their families that I had no trouble believing what I'd read, that they are

very common.

Anyway, welcome back Greta, and thank you for sharing your good news with

the list.
