Guest guest Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Hi Pat, Thank you for asking !! Unfortunately, after 2 weeks no inch loss yet. I am not giving up. I wanted to ask you, when you started did you do the positions when you first learned? I thought I saw a post talking about just the breathing alone helped you. I have been rewatching/doing the Intro video and the reflexology video. I have also been trying to eat every 3 hours and watching what I eat. I am trying not to get discouraged because I know Wanda and others have said that it takes longer for yo yo dieters to see results. Any advice is welcomed on or off list !! Love, > > Hi , > > How is your slower LL breathing coming along???? Have you lost inches > aournd your waist yet? > > Love always, > Pat > Quote
Guest guest Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Hi , I am so disappointed for you. I had been so hoping that you had lost inches already. But you are right in not allowing yourself to give up!!! That would be the worst thing you could possibly do. To answer your question, no, I did not do the positions when I started. I only did the LL breathing itself. But then, I had never been a yo yo dieter. In fact, I had NEVER gone on any kind of a diet at all. I had originally become 50 lbs. overweight, not from eating and not from diet, but from a 10 year course of cortisone and other steriods that I had taken for an eye condition that I had been born with!!! I had had NO idea that ANY KIND of medication COULD cause weight gain back in those days (the mid 1970s to the mid 1980s.) and had gotten absolutely no counseling or warning from my eye doctor, who I THOUGHT cared about me, but...Well, that is in the past, and I prefer to let bygones by bygones and to leave dead traums dead!!!! I have something that might help you, , and I am glad to tell you that I do. I found some wonderful yoga mudra web sites a few weeks ago. In case you don't know what yoga mudra web sites are, they are hand positions that have therapeutic value. Here is the link to a wonderful mudra called SURYA MUDRA, which I am using along with my LL breathing with wonderful success: *Surya Mudra* Reduces weight of your body. *Method* Put the tip of ring finger at the base of the thumb, while gently pressing on it. http://www.pediatriconcall.com/forpatients/AlternativeMedicines/Mudrapat1.asp You have to do SURYA MUDRA with both hands at the same time, , in order for it to be most effective!! Good luck to you, my dear friend, and please let me know how you do with this. Wanda is probably right when she tells you that LL doesn't give former yo yo dieters rapid success. I can imagine how that would be true!!! Love always, Pat freedomcat33 wrote: >Hi Pat, > >Thank you for asking !! Unfortunately, after 2 weeks no inch loss yet. >I am not giving up. Guest guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hi , You are on the right track. The Reflexology DVD/video can be a very important part of your healing from the inside out. I am glad you have chosen that one to do. The benefits of that one can be powerful. Wanda is right. Sadly what happens with yo-yo dieting is it throws your body so out of balance that it can take longer to get your body functioning correctly. The good news is that Lifelift can help to heal your body from the inside out and you are getting many benefits with each LifeLift breath you take. Wanda is living proof that hanging in there can be well worth the wait for those who are slow losers. There are many mysteries in the human body and over time we do so many things to our bodies that can damage them. Yo-Yo dieting can do a lot of damage to our internal organs. It can take some time to recover. Thankfully we can repair our bodies and there are ways to get strong and trim and healthy the right way. I have faith in you! Guest guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hello Pat, You are such a sweetheart. You are always here to encourage everyone. You make a great point about the fact that you had never dieted before you did LifeLift. This certainly does not mean that people who have dieted cannot have wonderful results, but as Wanda has proven, along with many of our other devoted LifeLifters, it can be easier in the beginning for those of you who have not. You are also such a good example for those who give up due to weight gain from medications. You allow everyone to see that not one of us should ever give up. Thanks for always sharing your good ideas. These finger poses look very interesting. They are a form of acupressure and I am always for that. Guest guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hi Rashelle, I love the way you show your love for , Wanda and me in the way you help us and guide us on every step of our Life Lift weight loss journey. And I am sure that ALL of us on this list think of you in the same way, with the same love and gratitude that I do. I have not bought the Reflexology video yet, but hope to buy it within the next year or two. I have heard so many good things about it from everyone on this list who uses it. But then, how could anything you produce by anything but fantastic????? Love always, Pat Rashelle Haines wrote: >Hi , > >You are on the right track. Guest guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hi Rashelle, You're so very welcome. I love to encourage people to be and do their best, and not only where their body weight is concerned. I always love to share my experiences with other people, not only because I want to share myself with them, but because I want them to see that if I did it, whatever " it " happens to be at the time, that they can do it, too. That is why I just became certified as a Professional Life Coach a few weeks ago. That is why I took the course!!! Of course, I have pretty much been a coach my whole life, but now it is official, as now I have a certificate to prove that I took a coaching course. I am glad that you love those hand and finger positions!!! I love them. I do Surya Mudra a lot during the day, sometimes while I am doing my Life Lift breathing and sometimes just by themselves in separate mudra sessions!!! It is good self therapy, all this stuff that I am doing for myeslf. I thank God that He led me to all of this wonderful material!!! Guest guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hi I am in the same boat with you. I, also was a yo-yo dieter. But I am not giving up either. I can tell my clothes fit better, but I haven't lost any inches. I have been doing the commuter tape to and from work and the floor exercises from tape #1. I think I will add the Reflexogoly tape, too. I am off track this week because I am on vacation and two of my grandchildren are staying with me some. I won't give up! _________________________________________________________________ On the road to retirement? Guest guest Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Hello , I have complete faith in you that you will do well, even when you get a little side tracked. My Daughter was telling me that she was doing OxygenZoo with my little Great Grandson-(a little over 1 year old) today, and she said he could not get enough of it. When he was here with me I would do LifeLift next to him and he would always try to blow out and then he would laugh out loud. I could tell he was going to love it. Maybe if you get your little ones involved with you it will be easier for you to stay on track. OxygenZoo has animated animals so the kids really love it and the workout on it is great for you too. Keep us posted on your progress. I am sure you are going to be one of our incredible shrinking women. Be Healthy and take good care, Rashelle Harness the Powerful Benefits of Oxygen with LifeLift. Guest guest Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Hi Rashelle and , , dear, I have complete faith in you, too, and I know that you will be a very wonderful success with Life Lift!!! How could you not be with Rashelle, me and our other Life Lift friends egging you on and constanly showering you with our love and support? Rashelle, dear, I am one of those " kids " who LOVES the Oxygen Zoo, and I can vouch for what you say about it!!! I always get so happy when I read about children who are doing Life Lift breathing and who work out with you in the Oxygen Zoo!!! They are starting their Life Lift weight loss/health improvement/maintenance program at exactly the right time in life, when they are young, and by " young " , I mean under 10 years old, and many times, under 5 years old!!! I am so happy for your little grandson, Rashelle, and for all of those little, cute Lift Lifters!!!! I can't tell you how happy I become when I hear and read about kids who are doing Life Lift!!!! They are surely going to avoid so many serious problems that most people run into as they grow older from sheer negligence of their God given bodies and minds!!! I have so much to say about this that I could write a book, and who knows? Perhaps someday I will!!!
