Hello everyone,

My name is . I have a 4 year old healthy daughter and a 28

month old boy named Tommy who has been sick pretty much since the day

he was born. I will give you all the short version. My son was born

with a laryngeal trachesophegeal cleft which took 17 months to

diagnose. He was pretty much had an admission every month until his

repair which was a year ago this September. He did really well after

his repair. However, when he turned 2, he started with high fevers

105 with ulcers on his tonsils. This has happened for the last 5

months. Last month, his WBC went to 18,000 also. I have been seeing

an ID doctor at MGH and he thinks maybe my son has PFS. He is going

to the OR next Thursday to have his tonsils out. Every article I read

says this helps. I am wondering what experience you mothers have had

since you have had your child tonsils out. Thanks for

listening.....

I would agree. I read your post and I though of my daughter. She was

diagnosed with OCD almost 2 years ago, since then we have had many different

diagnoses that still did not address all we were dealing with. Just

recently, after through neuropsychological and psychological testing we have

a solid primary diagnosis of Asperger's (a high functioning form of autism).

Many of the things you wrote about I see or have seen in my daughter.

thinking of that. A LOT of what you wrote can be OCD, but " autism "

also crossed my mind on some things.

Hi

I am also new to this forum (and this is my first post) but wanted to

say hi as I am in a similar position. I am unfortunately still ill

with M.E. but have thought that perfume making is quite a gentle

hobby and one that one can enjoy whether ill or well. So I am am

occasionally hanging out here and learning lots from all these lovely

knowledgeable people. My first few blends have been disasters but

have finally found one I love - so don't give up if it doesn't work

out at first.

Anyway welcome from another newbie! Sunflower.

Hi ie Chocolate

Me is Myalgic Encephalopathy also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

or Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome and a few other names as well.

Symptoms vary but basically you're absolutely exhausted, weak and

achey all the time (imagine the worst flu you've ever had and

multiply a lot). Basically it sucks. But hey, looking forward to

getting well again and certainly makes you appreciate all the smaller

stuff one can do! Suggest you google it if you want more info as

probably not appropriate for this forum (not sure, only new).

Cheers, Sunflower.

Sunflower, that sounds very much like fibromyalgia. I used to have it

really bad until Liz, one of our mods, recommended 5-htp, a supplement

dervied from a bean from Africa. I've been fibro-flare free since Jan,

with one exception last week, which was stress-related. You might want

to try 5-htp.

I can vouch for 5-htp. I have MS and back when I could afford it, I

used a couple of hundred dollars in supplements every month (for

extreme fatigue, vertigo, double vision, etc.). I can't really afford

it at the moment, but if I could, I'd also use something called DMG

(dimethylglycine); another panacea.

Hi Patti-

the site looks great-the only thing I might suggest is that they add something

about how Shwachmandiamond is treated-so the public understands what people go

Dear Margret; You Wrote:

I'm afraid the reservoir is as dried up as the old Kombucha bottles:(((

I sure do have alot of brushing up to do!

You sure do have that right! I am a " mess " in Massachusetts ;)))

From what I can see you have been doing alot more than hangin' in

there!! I am impressed, but not surprised, to see how far you have

come!! You sure do keep the ~WOW~ factor in the list.

Thanks for being you:)

It feels good to be back.
