I'll repeat my experience. I had a terrible infestation- don't know what the organisms were except I did see Collembola(Springtails)on me. I had the lint cocoons, black specks and much more. I DID NOT Get rid of belongings. I packed many things away for a year and parked my car for almost a year. When I started treating Lyme infestation progressively decreased. I have zero bugs now and am still treating Lyme. No more skin issues, lesions, biting sensations, crawling, etc. I have other symptoms as I am still in Lyme recovery.THIS IS NOT SIMPLY AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE.Aandraya On Jan 5, 2012, at 3:05 PM, Elissa <elissarachel@...> wrote:

Yes, they can be expensive but what is more Important than your healtth? I wasted months and lots of money trying to treat my skin and living environment. If I had been diagnosed with Lyme early on I'd be farther along in treatment. The infection got so bad in my brain that I thought I was getting Alzheimers- I was 42. These infections often progress slowly with subtle cognitive issues, mood disorders, vibrating or tremors, anxiety, joint or bone pain, fatigue, memory loss, heart palpitations, gut issues. Lyme eventually effects all the bodily symptoms but most severely the nervous system.AandrayaOn Jan 5, 2012, at 3:09 PM, Sad Girl <wherearetheangels@...> wrote:

I doubt that will be enough. Go on Eurolyme and find out who the Lyme literate doctors are and what they charge.AandrayaOn Jan 5, 2012, at 3:35 PM, Sad Girl <wherearetheangels@...> wrote:

If I had been diagnosed with Lyme early on I'd be farther along in treatment.

The infection got so bad in my brain that I thought I was getting Alzheimers- I

was 42. These infections often progress slowly with subtle cognitive issues,

mood disorders, vibrating or tremors, anxiety, joint or bone pain, fatigue,

memory loss, heart palpitations, gut issues. Lyme eventually effects all the

bodily symptoms but most severely the nervous system.

I get that. You have health problems because you have chronic Lyme and probably coinfections that are nasty debilitating bacterial and protozoal infections.AaOn Jan 5, 2012, at 3:38 PM, Sad Girl <wherearetheangels@...> wrote:

C,

Spend as little as possible on environmental stuff and find a lyme doc.  For example, soda crystals in your laundry, baking soda on your floor, epsom salts in the shower, pine oil (pine sol) to mop the floor.

spend your $ on a lyme dr. and to get meds.  Otherwise, you might be cleaning your environment for a long time with no results...and still suffering.

This is just my opinion since I am not a dr.   isn't it a coincidence lk pu most of us/ all of us have lyme or other infections though?

Yes,will look into lyme definately.

How much soda crystals do u put in with ur wash?

Pine oil?

Is it pure pine oil?

Didnt know about that.use dettol disinfectant on surfaces n floors justnow.

Like the thought of something more natural.

Wash with epsom salts, bicarb soda n sulphur since talkin to folk on here.

Hi c,

I use 1/2 cup to 1 cup of soda crystals depending on what i'm washing.  Bedding and sleep clothes get more.

we use pine sol brand floor cleaner with 8% pine oil.  Works for us.  if you look up one of Bill's previous posts...about the farmer, he says they use pine oil.  That's why I tried it.  I can tolerate it but cannot tolerate ammonia, etc...for cleaning.

Also, I've been using organic orange TKO from shanspirations blog on all surfaces.  Seems to make a huge difference!!!!!

Abx seem to have helped the most...that is why I don't spend a lot on environmental stuff.  For me, it helped but environment didn't get significantly better until abx!

Still get a few bites though.

We had that problem at one time with the floor cracks Elissa. We had the floors sanded down during the summer and 3 coats of polyurethane poured on the floors. Nothing will escape the floors now and I am sure if there were any mites left, it killed all of them in the floor. The weather is not good to do that right now, but you might want to consider it at some point if you own your own place. From: "Elissa " <elissarachel@...>bird mites Sent: Friday, January 6, 2012 7:30:05 AMSubject: Re: Has anyone tried lymesulfur dip on pets to kill mites?

I used to borax in the laundry and I developed a chemical sensitivity to it. It works though.

we had a b. Mite infestation and the exterminators id'd them. We just can't seem to get them out of our floor cracks. They moved with us too because we opened something from other apartment.

C, The original type of Dettol (the brown stuff which goes white with water), contains pine oil (but not Benzakonium Chloride).. The Dettol complete clean, I think, does not contain pine oil, but does contains Benzalkonium Chloride which, among other properties, is anti fungal & is said to damage the outer layer of mites & other wee beasties.

One of the symptoms of Lyme/Bartonella combo is pin pricks, biting sensations, crawling sensations, and other weird skin sensations. Not to mention the stabbing pains, vibrating, buzzing, some get tremors. These symptoms are often worse at night and they usually aren't constant. They wax and wane. Elissa,I remember when I first got these mites how they used to drop off the ironing board when I was ironing and bite my feet. Then I really knew I had mites and they do drop off the ceiling or wherever and bite. I also got the biters in the shower --when they were being rinsed off they would grab onto the toes and bite. From: "Elissa " <elissarachel@...>bird mites Sent: Friday, January 6, 2012 11:30:26 AMSubject: Re: Has anyone tried lymesulfur dip on pets to kill mites?

My bites are actual bites not sensations. My son and I have bite marks when/where we feel bites. My body is again reacting to their saliva or whatever else they inject into my skin.

I get vibrations and crawlies on my upper back....these are not bugs/mites, but the sensations that come with the lyme complex.

I used to get biting sensations/pricks but don't as of now. Since on abx, my brain is clear and I can tell the difference. It is a gross feeling to have them drop on me from the ceiling over the bed....that is the only place I don't spray.

I'll be changing that tonight!

My husband experienced the same thing too. When we came out of the shower we would always tell each other how many biters we got during the shower. From: Goldstein@...To: bird mites Sent: Friday, January 6, 2012 11:47:56 AMSubject: Re: Has anyone tried lymesulfur dip on pets to kill mites?

It's crazy how these  things stay alive!  We don't have many left in the environment, but i'd like to keep it that way!

I get the bites in the shower every now and again too.  I scrub with epsoms 2 times a day and it gets them off, but they bite my legs on the way out .

I used all natural pest enzyme cleaners from an exteminator company and I believe that got the last of the bugs. It was the last products I used so I think they worked. I still had bugs living on me though for close to a year after starting Lyme treatment.AaOn Jan 6, 2012, at 1:52 PM, Elissa <elissarachel@...> wrote:
