Mac is 3.5 and wears a toddler size 10! But, I think, he's a big kid--not

heavy, but solid and tall--really doesn't fit his " label " of being Chinese

and having Down syndrome. He wears mostly size 4 clothes, a few size 3T

still fit and is even in a couple of size 5. He's about 40 inches tall and,

I guess, weighs about 40-42 pounds. Is that big for a 3.5 yr. old? He sure

seems big to me--especially when he wants to be held!!!!

Jimmy is 10 and wears a size 2 1/2. Just a hint on the built up arch - I buy

arch supports at the drugstore for about $7 a pair - I get the women's size

small, for athletic shoes. I put them in his shoe whether it has built in

arch supports or not. Jimmy tends to pronate his foot (rotate it in - walks

on the inside of his foot), so this really helps to get him straightened out

again.

's 12 and wears a size 2. If I really look hard I can find nikes or

something with velcro (no chareters on the sides anymore as i don't think

it's age appropriate) It is getting harder and harder to find the velcro

tho. :-(

Bridget is 8 and is in a 1 wide. She needs the velcro straps and built up

arches also, so I have bought Stride Rite. Found some cool looking ones at the

oulets for $25.

is 10 and wears a size 1. She loves her velcro tennis shoes from

Stride Rite, can't remember the actual brand, something with a canyon in the

name.

size 8. I now have to shop in the MEN's shoe department for 2 out of 3 of my

boys.

WAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! The prices jump up at least $10.00 a pair changing

HI

I go to a local Kids Footwear outlet and get my kids Vans and Airwalks. They

both have wide feet and need the arch support. These accommodate both

problems. We also get a free pair of shoes after buying 12 pairs. My oldest

NDS wears a size 12 men's shoe and yes they carry those in a kids store. The

youngest is in a size 4. They are name brand but that is not why we buy them.

Support and correct fit is the most important again I buy what fits and works

best for their feet.

I can top THAT! I got Mav a pair for Stride Rite, Velcros at Ross for

$6.99!!

We All wear hand me downs here. But still the kids are dressed in style. I

have a friend who buys nice stuff for her son and it all comes to Maverick

after so he looks good.

UNFORTUNATELY, he had a mind of his own and likes to choose his own style, so

while I might HAVE the nice clothes.....they are not always on his back, but

often in his drawers!!

Maverick is 11, he wears size 8 slim jeans.

He wears size 2 shoes.

And the only name brands in our house are handme downs unless I buy them at

the outlet stores.

Yet, my kids look nice.

at 3.5 was wearing a toddler size 9.5 wide. The only shoes that

really

fit her well are from Stride Rite, and fortunately we have an outlet not too

far away. This last pair of tennis shoes wasn't that cheap there tough

because

they had the lights on the bottom. But, she tried on/threw across the store

(and this isn't like her) at least 8 other pair of tennis shoes, and when

she

put those light ones on, she walked around, jumped up, and said, " Go Bye

Bye " .

I don't know if she even noticed the lights until the next night when it was

dark,

but after wrestling her for over a half an hour at the store, I would have

bought just

about any pair she actually walked in!

PS. And she's NOT my picky shoe kid, my 6 year old is!
