Guest guest
My husband, my mother and my mother-in-law are all going to Germany in two weeks to receive the CLT treatment. Although there are other treatments that we have our eye on, my husband (a Yale trained medical doctor), feels this may be our best shot. She has stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. I personally think this whole debate on whether it is right that Ralph Moss makes money on a treatment is useless and ridiculous. The whole argument depends on whether the treatment even works as well as it has promised to. Both my husband and I agree that if it cures my mother-in-law then the price and the sacrifices we have had to make are trivial. This group's goal should be to identify and share the best forms of treatment for the various forms of cancer out there. Politics is one of the reasons why conventional medicine has failed patients like the one on this list, and now some of you are falling into that. I will keep the group informed on exactly what is happening with my mother-in-law. Until then, let's keep this an open and responsible forum and keep each other in our prayers. The only information I like to receive is how others have had success or failure with their different treatments. Other than that sort of medical information, the rest is useless to me. Guest guest
Kees... I wish you'd e-mail me directly about the CLT treatments...I am trying to schedule a trip to Germany for March. This is important to me as I am 4th stage breast cancer and I don't have unlimited money so I'm going out on a limb,so to speak. Do you now not think the treatments work??? If the treatments work it is worth the money....and I don't care if Ralph makes some of it. Judy Hoffman Re: R. Guest guest
I’ve been tracking the CLT subject on this group with great interest. I will be at the Hufeland Clinc Starting Feb 26th thru March 12th. I’ll be sure to keep everyone informed of the results. If anyone else has personal experience with this treatment, please share it with the group also. I would like to meet those from the group who will be at the Hufeland clinic during my stay there. Please seek me out. I had asked Ralph Moss’ group for some references of cases similar to mine, and was told that they would look for some names, however I never received any references, perhaps none were similar due to the limited cases involved. I can understand peoples need for privacy, however, if someone were helped, I would think that they would be eager to share the good news. A New York doctor said that he knew of people who did CLT but were not helped. Also the fact that Ralph is now in the CLT business does cast some doubt regarding objectivity of the treatment benefit. I’m somewhat skeptical about the efficacy of the treatment in my case due to the spread of cancer in my lungs and the difficulty of penetration of enough light to the lung tumors. So why am I going to Germany? I don’t see that I have too many alternatives. I’m willing to explore the treatment since I see is as a possible assist in my turmor control and immune system enhancement. I’m also concerned about the side effects, but willing to risk the possibility. I have squamous cell carcinoma that started in my base of tongue and left neck lymph node 2 years ago. I was then treated with radiation and chemotherapy. I found out last September 2002 that it had metastasized to both my lungs in multiple places. I was told that neither surgery nor radiation are feasible options and that chemotherapy would possibly increase survival by a few months at best, survival estimated to be 6 month to 2 years. I’ve been doing a fair amount of research on PDT. The “radapharma” website is good since they have the patent on “photochlorin” which is the photosensitizer used in CLT. They describe some success with their trials. http://www.radapharma.ru/eng/company/index.php I do believe that PDT is a very promising therapy having the possibility of repeat treatment, whereas chemotherapy and radiation are not since they destroy normal tissue. I don’t expect a cure; but hope to keep the cancer in check and hope that my immune system is improved to slow the growth. I don’t think I will ever be totally free of the cancer, but that’s OK if I can stay alive with it. I’m feeling very good physically now, perhaps it’s because I’ve been doing a heavy-duty program of supplements and Chinese herbs, eating better, and doing yoga. Who knows? I’ve taken a CT scan of my chest last Thursday and haven’t gotten the results yet. It’s going to be my benchmark for the CLT results over the next 6 months. Wish me luck. Guest guest
Hi , Wow - good luch\k with this. I hope it helps you! I've heard good things about this treatment - but mostly from Ralph Moss. But Ralph is very knowledgable and I still tend to think that if he invested his money in this treatment, it is because he sincerely thinks it works. :-) Someone posted a piece about another type of Light Therapy on my board: " Ananova: Light treatment link to killing cancer A combination of red light, blue dye, and a plant hormone could provide a new way to kill cancer cells. Scientists say the treatment overcomes problems with forms of therapy which destroy tumours using beams of light. Researchers at the Gray Cancer Institute, based at Mount Vernon Hospital, south-west London, treated cancer cells with a special light-sensitive blue dye. When red light was shone on the cells in the presence of the plant hormone, toxic chemicals called free radicals were released. These formed poisonous by-products with the potential to kill cancer cells. With conventional photodynamic therapy, the dye relies on activating molecules of oxygen to kill cancer - meaning it doesn't work well in the low oxygen conditions that exist in many tumours. The new method uses molecules of the same hormone that points plants towards the sun, to attack cancers instead and can therefore work right in the core of many tumours. " The full article can be viewed at http://www.zoneboards.com in the Cancer section - under research, I believe. Again good luck. I hope you come back from Germany telling us how you are now cancer free! Think positive! It works wonders! catharine > > My husband, my mother and my mother-in-law are all going to Germany > in two weeks to receive the CLT treatment.
Guest guest
, Like I said earlier, my mother-in-law and my mother will be visiting the Hufeland clinic this coming week. They will be flying out on the 27th of this month till the 7th of March. I'm sure it will be fine to seek them out. They are both from Long Island, New York. I have received a lot of information from this group in the last 6 months and I feel it is now time to share some of what I have learned and what we have been doing with this information. My mother-in-law has been involved in a lot of homeopathic therapies. She has been doing the flaxoil/cottage cheese every day now for about one month. She has also been taking the Sun soup from the Sun Farm corp. which is a frozen mixture of Chinese herbs and other anticancer ingredients. (More can be found here if anyone is interested, but I warn that the regimen is very expensive- $600/month- Welcome to Sun Farm Corporation) She has been taking this soup for about four or five months now. We are debating if we should take her off of the soup, although the ingredients are very healthy and can certainly do no harm, it doesn't seem to be curing her as it did the inventor's mother who had the same cancer --> more on the website. She is also taking anti copper medications, Thalidomide, Vioxx, Captipril, Mevacor, Whey, Melatonin, Neltraxone, Tagamet, Protocel, High Doses of Vitamin A and D, regular doses of B6 (50 mg) and Selenium (200 micrograms), green tea extract, echinacea, and wobenzyme. Shortly after her diagnosis she was flown to California for a cancer vaccine that unfortunately failed (however the vaccine has been known to take effect in some patients after chemo therapy- which she has just recently started and is one cycle in). If the CLT treatment does not work, my husband is considering placing her on the new capsil virus (only available in Budapest, Hungary so my husband will drive over while on his trip to Germany) and the Dendritic vaccine. If she has to go back to chemo therapy, we decided we will only do it through insulin potentiation therapy, and lastly, we may put her on super high doses of intravenous vitamin C. She has also had chest radiation done shortly after her brain and lung surgery last August. She has just started another round of radiation to her neck, but his time her radiation is being done with a new machine in Staten Island, New York. This machine is the only one available in the Western Hemisphere and has a more direct, higher beam of radiation, while being less damaging to the normal cells surrounding the tumors. I think its great and she only has to go once a week for 4 visits, while still taking her full dose of chemotherapy. As you can see we are not leaving her cancer to chance. We are working under many different theories and as long as these therapies do not contradict each other we are going to try everything. The result: Although she is in stage 4 (which is where she was when she was first diagnosed in May of last year), she is healthy and able to receive any treatments. She has no organ damage as of yet, and by looking at her, you would never believe she has anything wrong with her. Although we haven't found the " magic cure " as of yet, we feel at the very least, these therapies are keeping her body strong, healthy, able to fight, and able to take whatever may come next. We wouldn't even have a hope of future treatments if she was very sick. I also, want to add that some of the therapies are very specific and she has undergone a lot of blood tests to find the best dosages for her. I know that a lot of these medications may sound strange for cancer purposes but if anyone has any questions they can email me for more information. Thank you everyone for the great information you have all shared these past few months. I only hope I can be of some help to some of you out there. I know it won't be easy to pinpoint what if anything will cure her or at least extend her life, but the name of the game is a cure and we are not out to publish any papers. I will keep you all posted these coming weeks with her status during her CLT treatment.
