I need to chime in here as a 20 year veggie gal. Vegetarians and Vegans get plenty of protein - that has been a myth in circulation for years. Even vegans get 2- 3 times the needed protein daily. I believe I am not as sick as most because I have not had the horrible toxins from food that many people have in them. (switching to organic years ago) Once I got rid of the white flour, too, as Patty suggests, that made a big difference, too. Most meat is loaded with antibiotics, pus, and hormones, anyhow, unless one is blessed to have access to a natural selection. The one thing I watch for mostly is B-12, which of course, besides supplementation, one can get in the wonderful fermented food tempeh, for example. :) Different diets work for different folks, but the protein-lacking veggie is just a slow-dying myth :) Tricia Trish

<glory2glory1401@...> wrote: I would begin with diet, and just start making small changes to go as light and natural as possible. Fruits, veggies, water to drink, no meat for now, but added in later. I have seen information that suggests vegetarians do not heal as well after toxicity issues than meat eating patients. You need that protein to build strong cells when your body has suffered, but protein also burns more inefficiently and produces more toxic waste than eating lighter foods. So just

start out with lots of salads, veggies, water, then add in deep ocean fish for protein and omega-3 fatty acids. You might also want to start focusing on liver support, and eating liver-supportive foods like garlic, beets, greens, teas. You can do more heavy duty detoxing after you've cleared out from the surgery--give it about 6 weeks. Don't eat sugar and flour products either. Eat foods as close to their natural state as possible. Just my thoughts on this...others will have more ideas. Pattyleyna1964 <leyna1964 > wrote: Ok, so I'm 2 days post explant....what do I need to do as far as detoxing now? Do

Detox and diet took me 2 years to even think I would live. You have

not even begun to detox and diet to get better.

All those drugs you are taking will slow down your detoxing.

It is ok to be tested, but to take a lot of drugs will not help in

the long run.

Hi Cherie,

I did but as I said in a recent post.... I had to cut way back because

it was having a bad effect on me. So, I ate healthy, and cut back

supplements to 1 per day even if they recommended multiples per day.

When I could tolerate all this I just maintained it until surgery.

Cherie ~

It certainly can be overwhelming at times. I just

do gentle detoxing with garlic, and oil pulling, and

eating lots of raw veges and drinking kefir. I tell

ya even with just the garlic, I have huge herx, and

I only eat 2-3 at a time. So, I understand your

feeling so bad. I think you taking a break is a

good idea. Bless your heart, before ya know

it your will be having your surgery and and will

be able to get well. Hope you feel better from

Hang in there Cherie. Changing my diet was one of the toughest things I had to do. On top of being sick, and not knowing how to cook, trying to learn and follow a new diet was like torture. After explant I was taking about 20 different vitamins and supplements a day!! IT WAS INSANE! I am now down to Omega Oils, Garden of Life Multivitamin and Ultra Primal Defense (I only take one of each of these pills a day, my tummy can't handle more).

Only a month away! What day in November?

Hi Lynn

It November 13th. I still have to find someone near my home to

remove the drains. I have to fly back three days after surgery.

Cherie,

Sometimes they can be removed in three days. Mine were. Sometimes

they can be removed in less than three days.

I had my surgery on a Friday and my drains out that Monday.

Would your General doctor or OBGYN possibly be able to remove these

Well, you have a good attitude about it all. I am glad your

surgery is not far off. I bet you will be very pleased

with your outcome. Your chest will feel good again, and you

can sleep on your stomach if you want to.......I am tired of feeling

something wet and heavy on my chest that I cant get off of me.

You know you are right, men like soft and real better than

implants. Hard balls stretched under skin.....

I hope you get some rest tonight, and feel better tomorrow !

Hi ,

My general doctor is a....well.....I don't like to type bad words!!

As as soon as I am well, I am finding a new one. I live in Calfornia

and have an HMO insurance plan and I need to keep this doctor until I

am well. I have a referral thru him to my specialist in San Francisco

that I need to keep for now. I am in hopes that one of the surgeons

I work for will be able to remove it for me. The week I am having

the surgery, the one doc that will do it....will be on vacation for

Thanksgiving. So if they don't come out before I leave Denver, I will

either wait for my employer doc to come back from vacation or maybe

go to the e.r. where my mom works at. My general surgeon has no idea

what I am having done, haven't seen him in months. Dr. Huang's office

told me today that a nurse can pull them out too.

Cherie,

It goes by how much drainage you have. I knew a woman who had hers

out the next day.

You just have to go by your own body and what happens with you.

Thanks so much Dede! Your so sweet! I am hanging in there and

taking a break is just what I needed! I will be ok and I'm going to

focus on the removal and how great getting these out of me will be!

Everyone I know is surprised that I am really ok about loosing

these " toxic monsters " after all I did to get them. I sooooo want

smaller " real " breasts again and of course my health back! My

implants are above the muscle and are very hard. The size was larger

than what I wanted too. I got these monsters right after my divorce

in 2005 and " thought " that since I would have to be naked in front of

man again....I must do something about them....they were the " rock in

the sock " look! I did not have a lift (the surgeon I used does the

procedures separetly) and I never went back to her for it....thank

God!! So I think that Dr. Huang will make a new and " smaller " me

that will actually look better then I do now. Because I will tell

you....men are not all that crazy about implants! I never had one

man that I dated say anything about them except " you didn't tell me

that you have those " ! Men seemed that they like softer breasts, not

these hard things that I have. That's what I get for " thinking " . I'm

ok to get have this done and start dating again next year!!

Thanks again and hugs to you!

Cherie, IF they have to be in longer, you may not be happy about it, but you'll know that, if you didn't have drains, you would be in a world of hurt! . . . There's no way of knowing before surgery if you'll be one that REALLY needs drains! . .. Rogene

Cherie,

I could be possible that they will remove drains before you leave. I

had surgery on Tues. They removed drains on Fri. I'm not sure what

time you are flying out.

If you have to find someone close to home to remove drains, Dr Huangs

office said they would get on the phone and walk them through the

removal if necessary.

Keep us posted.

Cheri,

I can relate!! Mine were above the muscle too and felt very fake! I feel the water swooshing around if I pushed on them. YUCK - I hated them. They looked great in a bra but besides that I had the "rock in the sock" look too. Glad to have my soft little boobs back - A cup and all.

Cherie,

I was a 34 B pre-implant. I was a 34 C with implants and now I am a 34 A.

I love how soft they are now. I was shocked when I tried on a bra after explant though. I thought I would be a small B but nope. That is okay though. I wear a push-up bra and I have great cleavage. When I lay down on my back though, I am flat flat... But I am SOOOO happy those toxic bombs are out of me, I don't regret my explant decision one bit - NEVER will. I do regret that I got implants in the first place, I should have been thrilled with a nice B cup.

Hugs, Lynn

Hi Cherie,

I was a 34A/B pre-implant, was a 34C with implants, and am back to

the same exact size I was before. I absolutely love having my

natural tiny breasts back. When I had implants, I would look at the

smaller breasted women and think that they looked so much better

than the larger breasted women. Funny how my perception changed.

The Gap bras make me look like I have a tiny bit more on top than I

do. I'm just so darn happy to be able to lay on my stomach and not

feel a sharp pain when I bend over to pick something up (like I did

while I had implants), plus I don't feel like I've got the little

creature from the movie " Alien " in my body anymore, so the relief I

feel at not having the implants is worth the world to me. No

regrets about explant here.
