Guest guest
- if you read the post I wrote after my reply to you you will see that I am getting almost 5 days in between challenges ... if I count today as my last day. So its not too bad. Thanx so much for your input. Rita Re: results > - Actually what I may do is rest my body for a few days and start again on Tuesday. For me that week off may be too long and I don't want any bad habits to start. Once I commit to a program I am better off. Perhaps after C2 I will take a week or two off. I didn't realize it had been recommended tho ... who said that? > Well, just about everyone I know from other BFL boards (people who have done multiple challenges) strongly feels that if you don't take a break, you are prone to burnout (and possible dropout) in the middle of your next challenge. Usually what is advised is NOT a seven day " free day " but rather, a weeklong break from your gym schedule, along with clean eating with maybe a few " treats " . Other activities you enjoy like biking, hiking, etc are encouraged; it's not a week to just *rest " but more of a mental vacation from the food/ exercise schedules we follow for 12 weeks. I'll have to check my book; I'm not sure BP ever gives an opinion on this.
Guest guest
Okay Rita, you do sound psyched!!! The measurement losses (and scale) are awesome! I see why you want to keep the momentum up and think you should do just what you want. BTW - last nite I went bra shopping at 's Secret (a first for me). Can you believe this - I started in a 38D and now am in a 38C??? I have lost 56 lbs and 6 3/4 " from my chest. How can I still be in a 38C? Someone must have screwed up at my last fitting but my bra was so comfy I guess it wasn't a problem. Anyway, I bought a sexy leapord print number last night - woo hoo! Park Re: results > Just wanted you to know - I am 2 days short of the end of my 12 weeks and see NO transformation. A loss of about 16 lbs. and a couple of inches all around and that is it. BUT ... I am starting C2 on Monday anyway and I intend to do much better next time. It just takes a little longer for some of us is all. > Hi- Why aren't you taking the recommended week off? Guest guest
TY! And Congratulations to you, too!!!! WOO HOO on that leopard print bra! I've been reading everyone's posts and am going to go into VS and get measured for the first time in YEARS!!! But I don't understand with that much of a weight loss how you haven't gone down more in your bra size. At least your bra is comfy ... relax and enjoy it. lol And thanx for all your encouragement and support. You have more work ahead with me! lol Good luck to both of us in C2! Guest guest
Park; talked about this awhile back I believe~ You are loosing the fat from your cup size [the boob area] and you are loosing fat from the band area. However you are also gaining muscle in your back and this may be why your band size is not changing because you're back is geting more muscles! Yeah, that's awesome :0) Joann http://www.mrsbishwitskitchen.com Re: results > > > > > Just wanted you to know - I am 2 days short of the end of my 12 > weeks and see NO transformation. Guest guest
Hi Bec ... I guess I expected a whole lot more cause I really stuck to this 100%! But I am not disillusioned ... I am going to take my pics next week but having looked at my pics from Day 1 and then 8 weeks later there isn't a noticeable difference. I looked like a cow when I started and in the 8 week pics I still do! lol I'm getting there tho - it will just take much longer than I thought and as long as I see SOME progress it will keep me going. I think the thing that you might have lost site of is that the first place you gain the fat will most likely be the last place that you see it go. So.. as long as you're truly working your leg muscles to complete failure (not just to burn).. you will eventually see results. Guest guest
Hey.. I started on Jan 20th needing to lose about 20 lbs the first two weeks I lost 5lbs and 3 " total and I haven't lost any more weight since and just a 1/2 " here and there I haven't been perfect with the diet and I have missed a few work outs here and there but I try to do 4-5 cardio days I just seem to feel better. Good Luck Heidi > I was wondering if there are any women out there who started this > program needing to lose 15-20 pounds. Guest guest
Hi! as normal, I think we would all refer you to Hussman's sight (you can find it in the links). Anyway, I also need to loose 10-20 lbs. I'm on week 7 and have only gone down 2lbs and really can't say I've lost any inches. However, I am seeing muscle under all that. I recently have noticed a change in my hips, but it's weird. It's a change that doesn't show even with the tape measure--it's just that I can see muscles here and there....and know that things are changeing under the surface. I think those of us with less to loose will have to definately be more patient, although every body is different. Lately my counter thought to discouragement is, Hey! I'm seven weeks closer to my goal--and that IS something! Keep going! --corinna
Guest guest
Did you take measurements when you started? These should be different by now. Remember to only measure on the morning of your free day before you eat or drink anything. Any other time, your measurements will be off. IMHO, stay off the scale completely. > > I was wondering if there are any women out there who started this > > program needing to lose 15-20 pounds. Guest guest
--- Hi , I am 5'6 and am at about 140. I lost about 13 lbs in the first 6 weeks, and in the past 4 weeks I have only lost 4 lbs, BUT, I have lost 3 inches off my waste, 2 off my but, 1 off of each thigh, and 1/2 off each bicep. THese inches came off when the scale was going down very slowly. I didn't measure at first b/c I didn't want to see those numbers. I took measurements at week 6. I wish I would have done it at the beginning. Everyone is different, but my inches loss came b/w week 6-10. Guest guest
I too am 5'6 and have approx. 20 pounds to lose. I am getting ready to start my 6th week on Monday. I have not seen any results visually, although I feel firmer and I can tell I am building muscle. The only thing I don't like is that I have gained the little bit of weight back that I lost in the very beginning. Even though it was only a few pounds I am trying not to get discouraged. We can hang in there and get through it, maybe not in 12 weeks but probably close to it
Guest guest
Yes, I did take measurements in the beginning. Nothing has changed except my waist is 1/2 inch BIGGER! And I agree I should stay off the scale. I was only weighing because my jeans were tighter and I did not feel like I was getting anywhere and the scale confirmed it. Lately I have been eating every 2 1/2 hours even if I'm not hungry - I'm wondering if I should stop and let my hunger guide me. If I do that though I don't think I'll be eating 6 times a day. OR I thought maybe I could cut my meal sizes in half and then maybe I will start getting hungry for the next one a couple hours later. > > > I was wondering if there are any women out there who started this > > > program needing to lose 15-20 pounds. Guest guest
Every 2 1/2 hours? If you're not hungry, make it three hours. That should still fit in a normal day. I do : 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm most days. If I have my breakfast after the gym then its... 8am, 11am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm I'm always hungry by 1pm, no matter what. Wierd If you're REALLY not hungry, there is definitely a chance your portions are a bit too big. But I wouldn't cut them in half, that's a bit drastic. If you're using a measure, use the next one down (ie. if you generally use a 3/4 cup measure, go to the 2/3 one.) Or if you have 4oz meat, have 3oz. If you half what you're eating, you may go too low and start burning muscle. Don't want that! Phoenix
Guest guest
Becky, Great news with your measurements 1/2 inch is a 1/2 inch! I don't recall if I got your post about it before. The way it looks, I didn't, altho I was getting so many from everyone else, but no one was getting mine! If I got yours you can be sure I replied and wasn't ignoring you for any reason whatsoever. That goes for everyone! I replied, I really did!!!! At least now we know what is probably happening, the cyber ghosts are playing games with us... Guest guest
1/2 inch here and 1/2 inch there really adds up! I'd say you're doing great! Remember, better those 1/2 inches going off than on! Melinda ) Results Hello, I thought I posted a message about my results, but I haven't seen it on here, so it must not have gotten posted. I did mention how I did not have results as slow as this with BodyFlex, but that was about 7 years ago! So, I'm sure my metabolism, etc. has changed, and that's probably a big reason why. I was not out to bash Rashelle's program in any way, so I'm hoping that's not why my message wasn't posted. If I were doing that, I would have never returned to the board and never would do LifeLift again...and that's definitely not the case! Anyway, I had only measured my waist and hips after a whole month and both lost 1/2 an inch. That little bit is a big help, and I really can't wait to measure next time! Becky What can changing the way you breathe do for you? Everything! Guest guest
Melinda, you are so right. I think that we often forget how long it would take and how hard it would be to lose those 1/2 inches with traditional exercise. The effect was exactly the same as if he was banned. Annita Finkemeier made a number of statements wishing Mr. Benson to die of his disease, which were allowed to post on this Group, yet Mr. Benson's responses were moderated. When questioned as to the exact site link in which she refereed, Annita Finkemeier was unable to provide even a coherent answer to the question. 3. We have found that civil litigation against Annita Finkemeier is not warranted for the following reasons: a. We find that it is doubtful that Annita Finkemeier would be able to be held legally responsible for her actions due to the severe nature of her self admitted mental illness. This was demonstrated to me directly when Annita Finkemeier was unable to address simple questions choosing instead to dance around issues and make blatant attempts to intimidate me by addressing me as Mr. Benson. b. Review of Annita Finkemeier finances proved that the suit would provide us with nothing more than an uncollectible judgment if pursued. Thus making such suit economically unfeasible. 4. After reviewing several months of posts from this group, we have come to the conclusion that neither " Doug " or " Janet " , the creators/moderators of this group are qualified or trained to council patients in any situation. It is doubtful that either has any qualified training to deal with patients that could have psychiatric symptoms due to the treatments required to clear Hepatitis C. Hence, it is our opinion that this group should not be frequented by patients that are looking for professional advice by any means. Mr. Benson reserves the right to inform any and all members of your group these opinions should any attempt at " medical " or " psychiatric " advice to members of this group at any time in the future. Mr. Benson did ask me to convey that he wishes Annita Finkemeier and the rest of the group success in their fight against Hepatitis, but also hopes and prays that the creators/moderators seek to enlist qualified medical professionals to assist them in the proper, and non-bias moderation of this group. Mr. Benson also feels that the lack of discipline to stay " on topic " and the the moderators neglect to censor wishes of death to other members of the group is an issue that should be seriously addressed. After knowing Mr. Benson for approximately one decade, I have rarely seen him detrimentally effected to the extent that Annita Finkemeiers accusations have. Her libelous statements that he is a child pornographer, and the fact that she repeatedly attempted to intimidate him with her wishes that God curse him to never be cleared of his Hepatitis C, and the statements that he would surely " wrought " in hell, have strengthened his faith in his God, and left him with a deep sorrow for Annita Finkemeier and her concept of a god that would provide such evil consequences on any individual. -- __ Hood RE: International, LLC Investigations Unit mhood@...
