Guest guest
Here is a link below to a German article, but I think it is the same vaccine they are using here in the US? I am not sure. You might also want to read Dr. Cheney's blog post on the subject, but I am not finding it now. It might have been another Dr. You can always do a search and see everything that comes up, there have been lots of things posted about this on many groups, and by many Doctors. I found these articles by cardiologist informative and easy to read. He includes references: Avoid Flu Shots, Take Vitamin D Instead - http://www.lewrockwell.com/miller/miller27.html Vitamin D In A New Light - http://www.lewrockwell.com/miller/miller25.html Interesting that he wrote these articles in 2007 & 2008. Guest guest
, We are not doing it at least as of now until it's been around a while. My son in addition to this fever syndrome is autistic and some of my 'special needs moms'friends that are nurses warned me about the mercury (thimerosol) and additives. It has just reinforced my decision not to do it(or even the flu shot). I'd like to hear any one who is in this field on here that could perhaps shed more light on it. I definitely am still nervous though because of the fevers if it's bad NOT to do the shot. Thanks,

Guest guest
I just wanted to let you all know that we did the 'regular' flu mist about a month ago for my DD diagnosed with (ironically, since she was diagnosed (in late Sept) she has not had another fever - she had had one Sept 10, was due Oct 10 and now its coming up on the time for her to have one, and she has had a cold off and on for the past 2 months so maybe it's making it stay away, or maybe the 6 months of fever really were " viruses? " ??!!? who knows. ) Anyway, we did the H1N1 mist on Saturday and my DD is completely fine though she still has a touch of a runny nose (which she had before the mist). Weirdly my older/non child did have some wheezing that night. If I knew what I know now (the wheezing freaked me out) I might have waited for 5 hrs at the health dept for the shot. But, I guess I'm glad to report that she is ok! Thanks! Beth

Guest guest
PS I forgot to add that I have been giving my DD the DanActive Immunity drinks since she was diagnosed and I read it on here so maybe that is helping? Who knows! I'm just glad to have had a break from it. Beth

Guest guest
About six weeks ago I advised people about the swine flu vaccine as I had such a huge reaction to it. Well last night had yet another reaction that was the same only this time it definitely wasn’t the swine flu vaccine. Had to call an ambulance but fortunately not to hospital as they were able to stabilize me at home, apparently according to them I was only just hyperventilating. Strange but where does the rash and swelling come in with this? Also the ambulance guys said they’d never heard of Samters either, no real surprise there. Doctor didn’t open until 10.30, hence the ambulance call but got in to see him at 2 – the same one who said it was a swine flu reaction. He said I’d had a bad reaction to something I ate – as far as I know I have no food allergies. Now what’s blown me away is that if it was that bad, why hasn’t he ordered tests to find out what particular food it is I’m allergic to? Unfortunately ate out at an ‘all you can eat’ restaurant last night that had a huge variety which will make it difficult to narrow down but I’ve eaten there plenty of times before. As far as I know the only thing that sets me off is aspirin. Back to the drawing board for me. Guest guest
Hi , that does sound very scary for you...and also frustrating as the paramedics said you were hyperventilating rather than having an asthma attack. It does sound like you had almost an anyphylactic shock and you must get some tests done to determine what it is you are allergic too - this can happen again. Let us know how you get on, Hugs Becky From: <soniarobins@...>samters Sent: Thu, 7 January, 2010 9:12:19Subject: Swine flu vaccine About six weeks ago I advised people about the swine flu vaccine as I had such a huge reaction to it. Guest guest
Hi , Did they have any shellfish on the buffet table? I've reacted to it at times, and then not. I did not have trouble with breathing, I just broke out in welts all over. Tami By the way....although the medical people have more basic medical knowledge than us, there is no one more informed about what we have than ourselves. Always trust your own judgement, and be persistant. Swine flu vaccine About six weeks ago I advised people about the swine flu vaccine as I had such a huge reaction to it.
