I generally do not do group chat because it is very confusing for me

in a lot of ways, too many conversations and too many people and too

fast etc, I can't stay focused and my stims act up and I get

overloaded. And generally the times I am available are not the same

as the times that other people are available. But I would not be

adverse to making the attempt once or twice.

But I do have IM [instant Messenger], and because if you are

here, it means you have a ID, you can always sign up for

IM and then send me a message at danaatty. If I am online I will say

hello, otherwise I will receive it as an offline and I will reply

later when I am online. Please do remind me who you are tho, I have

soooooooo many IDs from other people that I have trouble

remembering them all LOL

So far we have never scheduled topics for out chats. If this is something

that people really want to do we could certainly try it. Currently, people

show up and we talk about whatever is on people's minds. =)

How do you get there easily? And is it safe to download the software that

pops up?

Easily - just go to: /chat . You will

then need to sign in with your ID and password.

The software that needs to be downloaded allows your computer to use the

chat room. I believe it's extremely safe, everyone using the chat room has

installed the software without problems.

Sorry I wasn't able to get to the chat room last night. Hopefully Sunday will be better. My dr. sent in a prescription for cough medicine and an antibiotic. Hopefully I'll get rid of this cold in a very short time. Didn't sleep well last night. Itched, ached and coughed. Maybe tonight will be better. difficult

I was there off and on during the day but missed you too! Didn't see

anyone else wander in either. I remember trying to coordinate this

with different times a long time ago when I set up the chat page for

rheumatic.org. Didn't have much luck then either, but we could sure

try again, huh? Incidentally, you may want to point that link for

the chat page at rheumatic.org to this chat site now, as my chat page

no longer functions.

We pretty much just do Tuesday, but if you're online one day want to chat you

can try posting a message to the group saying you will be in the chat room

from x time to x time and if others get online they might come over and join

you. (Wow - check out that mega runon sentence!! LOL)

Since we're on the subject of chat....I just want to extend an invite to everyone to come join us tonight!!! I know we're all busy, we are all parents after all. But it has been fairly slow lately and at some point during the night I'm usually talking to myself!! We have people in the chat room all hours of the night. I am usually there around 9pm EST to about 1 or 2am EST. ( we have a chatter that doesn't come on til after work so I usually wait around for her!!!) We talk about anything and everything! Once you download and open the shareware, then you plug in the IRC

Every now and then I check on the chat room, but there is never anyone there. Last time (yesterday) I left a message asking the same question you ask.

As for how to know if someone answered something you post...1) check the subject line and 2) if you read messages online, you can open your message and look at the bottom for replies to your message.

If you're in the chat room one of these days, let me know.
