I completely agree. It was a LOT of fun! I can't imagine having to

stand and work for even ONE hour much less more than eight! It was

really good to laugh so hard though. Honestly, I can't remember the

last time I laughed so much.

Hi Jo Lynne and all

I think having a chat day is wonderful - maybe meant having chat

available for the afternoon and into the evening. I am on another chat

group and they chat on Wednesday nights from 8 - 11 est, which allows

for us to chat with people from both coasts. After 12 noon is great but

some of us don't get home from work until 6. Whatever time works best

for the majority is what we need. I hope it gets off the ground, the

support and friendship are so important.

I tried going onto the MGH Neurology Chat Rooms, but kept being re-

directed to a " service interruption page " called " D-NA.COM (Domain

NAmereserve " , no matter which avenue I took. Looks like someone's

gotten into the MGH sevice & messed around(??), so I reckon I need to

email them to let them know & find out how to find the chat if it's

still available. Do you know?

Just back after two weeks and catching up..............

saw the posts about CHAT, and wanted to mention again that

we meet every Thursday in the PBC chatroom at 8PM Eastern,

7 Central, 6 Mountain, and 5 Pacific. Come on in, it's for both

Hi Jim,

Although we do not have chat, I'm real good at checking my e-mails constantly.

So if you want to " chat " with me, that would be great. It is such a nice thing

to have someone to talk to when you need it.

I'm 42 and just diagnosed with RA. I have been very scared. This group has

helped me tremendously. It's nice to know someone out there cares and is in a

similar " boat " .

Also, I can relate to your situation. My brother is gay and has HIV and is

going down hill. My brother is my best friend. His partner has HIV as well and

is somewhat suicidal.

I don't know how to deal with it or who to talk to. :'(

Being as you are 31 and much older than when your mom was diagnosed, you will

probably not get it as bad as she has had it. She has had this disease for a

LONG time. So hang it there, write me back if you want and we can be " penpals "

Hi ,

Thanks for your support. It is very tough. Now I'm ill with RA and ironically

enough my brother is more concerned about me then himself. That's just the kind

if person he is.

I was hoping that Jim guy that was looking for chat would respond back to me.

I thought he and I could help each other out.

I guess most of you were not around when there still was a chat feature

that was directly on our group. We had weekly chats and they were

pretty fun, although they were hard to follow sometimes! I know that

the teens in our families weaned on text messaging and IM'ing....but

for me it was a whole new territory.

Anyway, decided to make that feature part of their IM download

and remove it from the groups. I finally took that program off my

computer because I didn't use it and I thought it was slowing my

computer way down. I think (if anyone is wondering) that is where

the " Chat " you guys are talking about?

There are other Chat programs...I really doubt I will reload the

program... and being 6 hours ahead of the US right now makes it too

complicated, but those of you that have it should try it out. Just set

a day and time here and anyone that wants to can go to that room at

that time and see who is there. If you want to also put a reminder in

the group calendar it will pop up like all announcements on the

parameters you set. The calendar feature is available and accessible to

all memebers.
