Hi, I just fixed my email account address in . I haven't been

getting the emails. But I saw this and thought I'd respond.

A while back, Dr. Weil wrote something about bloodroot paste for skin cancer. If

I remember correctly, someone had sent him a jar and he decided to try it on his

dog that had a large cancerous growth and it worked well. I did some research on

it at the time, not a lot of information about it. If you were interested, you

could see a good herbalist who might know more about that.

I do know you can't take it internally. It is to be made into a paste and

applied.

Thanks, .

I am using the broccoli juice that Dr. Joe, Irene's friend, suggested and it

seems to be getting smaller. It has only been roughly a month of use and I

am sure it will take another few months. These natural cures never work

quickly. If the broccoli doesn't work it is good to know about the

bloodroot paste.

Sharon (Ontario) Canada

Hi Angie,

Have a look in Community Public Health in Policy and Practice by Cowley. (2008) Chapter 5 by Dalziel will give you a good flavour of 'building community capacity'.

Then for a great example, 'New Communities, new relations: The impact of community organization on health outcomes. (2007) Durie R & Wyatt K. Social Science and Medicine vol.65 p. 1928-1941. In this study in West Cornwall health visitors were key to bringing people together to initiate action.

Good luck!

Best wishes,

BCC

Hi all...am hoping that you can help!I am a student health visitor coming towards the end of my training (although we still have so much uni work to do, it's difficult to see how close to the end we all are!) I've heard the term 'building community capacity' but struggling to find out about it - can anyone help?? I (as have all of my student colleagues) an interview coming up and I need to do a 10 minute presentation on it and how I plan to deliver it. I understand its part of the health visiting "Call for Action", and we are having a couple of taught sessions on it, but unfortunately weeks after my interview! Very frustrating!I look forward to any help you can give!Angie__________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 7259 (20120630) __________The message was checked by ESET Smart Security.http://www.eset.com
