Guest guest
Cheap enzymes are false ecomony, you need to use heaps more for not quite the same effect as Houstons. Mandi in UK know that most of you recommend Houston's enzymes and I have sent for samples already. That being said, does anyone use enzymes that they buy at a store instead of online? I would appreciate any advice and/or experiences you all have to share.
Guest guest
Please take note on enzymes you buy that might contain stomach acid-HCL. If you don't need extra stomach acid then this would cause stomach burning. I have trouble finding them at my local stores and have to order online. I also had to buy an extra strenght for me. I like Thropp's Nutrition-Ultra-zyme Plus. Guest guest
I started with the AFP Peptizyde and Zyme Prime with each meal or snack, starting slow. I didn't add the No Phenol for about 2 or 3 weeks so he got used to those first. Even if there are no infractions the enzymes are good for the trace amounts that may be in some products, like in some plastics! Guest guest
You don't need a doctor's permission to try the enzymes, and you can do the diet at the same time. Many times enzymes and diet work better than diet alone. If you see good results, then you have options for the future, perhaps going off the diet at some point. > Hello. Guest guest
Carl,, The only problem with TIDE -free is that it still contains enzymes, as do most detergents. (Just check the label.) The only large-scale manufactured detergent I know of that is free of enzymes (and fragrance) is ALL-Free. (Of course, there are the alternative brands that are simpler formulations as well.) For mold sensitized individuals, avoiding detergent with enzymes makes good sense. May, author May Indoor Air Investigations LLC Cambridge, MA -- Reply to: Jeff@... ------------------ > 1. Guest guest
I see from medical records that my husband and son are allergic to aspergillus, and this makes enzymes contraindicated. someone gave my dh digestive enzymes many years ago and it made him deathly ill for two weeks. my son is taking houstons, and is doing fine. He is gfcf, and takes the enzymes to cheat once a week. So far, after about three cheating episodes with enzymes, he has had no negative effects. The allergy tests where he was allergic to aspergillus is old.....maybe he grew out of the allergy. His face has cleared up on gfcf, and he is more alert and has had more converstations. His eyes, when you look in them, appear to be more " there " than when you used to look in them and it looked more vacant and far away. I think this is a big improvement and I'll take it. He has been really cooperative about bathing once a week also. If he keeps taking the enzymes, will something bad happen eventually, and if so, what should I be looking out for? any experience with aspergillus enzyme sensitivity will be appreciated. Many kids will regress first if eating gluten/casein and given Peptizyde, because of " adjustment " period. Some kids don't tolerate the papain in the Peptizyde, so try AFP Peptizyde, see if that works better. >>With the GFCF diet you can barely tell my son has any issues. Guest guest
> Do you recommend taking the enzymes (peptizide) for awhile BEFORE going off GFCF?? If so, how many times a day and how many days/weeks? I have no idea if my son would benefit from a CFGF diet, but I gave him enzymes and he benefited, no doubt. Peptizyde should be given with every meal that contains casein or gluten. It doesn't matter how many times a day, but with every meal that contains the allergens. We used both Peptizyde and Zymeprime. Started with very small amounts and increased slowly reaching a capsule of each with every meal after about 2-3 weeks. > We tried the peptizide with our son and gave it to him with each gluten/casein meal. Ohhhhh, we saw major regression. Did you give a whole capsule at once from the beginning? How long did you try the enzymes before you went back CFGF? Guest guest
Those already on the diet should not make any diet changes when first starting enzymes so you can evaluate changes. You can give enzymes with the diet (as many do). If you want to see if your child can add back foods with the enzymes, wait a few weeks after starting enzymes, then test only one kind of food at a time. Your son's reaction could be that he can't tolerate gluten, even with enzymes. Or, it could be that he is having some " opioid withdrawal " effect from further breaking down proteins. Or, he might not tolerate the enzymes. Stay on the present diet for a few more weeks to see how he does with enzymes. Many do great with Peptizyde, but a minority of kids have some difficulty tolerating the fruit-based enzymes in it and so will use the AFP-Peptizyde instead. Always consider with ANY supplement that the child may not tolerate it, though we are careful to formulate products geared toward a very sensitive population. We won't use certain enzymes (that some other companies use) because of possible known problems, and I just cringe for the kids who are forced them to suffer (in the name of " die- off " ), when an intolerance to the supplement itself may be the problem. Always contact the company with any problems. Go slowly with dosing and after a few weeks, consider testing with foods. My son benefited from the diet, but benefited far more from enzymes. Some people do report stomach pain when given larger amounts of emzyme on an empty stomach, especially with the proteases, I think. However, you wouldn't give them together if you're using the DPPIV for food digestion -- Candex must be given on an empty stomach. take care René > > Hi Everyone- > I was wondering if anyone knew if it's okay to give Candex and other enzymes > (Kirkman's Complete DDPIV-Isogest) at the same time? Guest guest
Mine also uses an herbal detox, but I plan to add something a bit more aggressive later on. The herbal detox assists and supports your body while it does it's own detoxing. Which it will do. And for the first three months after removal you cannot use ALA anyway. So allowing your body to dump some on it's own is fine. Actually detoxing to fast after removal has made many people sick. The herbal may be fine, depending on how toxic you are. With myself, I know I will need ALA after the three month. 20+ years of amalgams, it's definitely in my brain. As far as I know, the herbal stuff does not " bind " the metals unless there is chlorella in it. But supports your bodies own natural detox system (liver, lymph system, etc.)I can tell you that without any chelators, I am detoxing some of this stuff. I can tell from the way my body is acting. The sweating, the change in symptoms, urinating a lot, that metals are moving some.
> > > > Does anyone recommend any supplements to deal with chronic
> > cattarh and
> > > > blocked sinuses, i have been supplementing for months now and >
> > have cut
> > > > out gluten, wheat and dairy (i have the occasional coffee) i > feel
> > that
> > > > my eustaition tube is completely blocked and have tried steam >
> > > > inhalation and some homeopathic remedies but it is actually
> > getting
> > > > worse, it is only blocked on one side and is very > uncomfortable,
> > i do
> > > > not want to take antibiotics as have already been prescribed >
> > these in
> > > > the past and felt it made the situation worse. My ears are > clear
> > even
> > > > though they feel blocked and i cant blow my nose, any advice >
> > anyone, i
> > > > have tried olive oil in the ear.
> > >
> > >
> > > This description sounds like me when I eat something that the
> > enzymes
> > > don't address. Sounds like you might have additional food > issues,
> > > which you can either remove, or try using enzymes and see if that >
> > helps.
> > >
> > > Dana
> > >
> >
> >
> >
> >
> > > > > > > > > >

> > > > =======================================================
> >
Guest guest
-the few things i would question about this dentist are the fact that he does root canals, which are highly toxic, more so than amalgam and that he does implant surgery. Both are not usually considered holistic or healthy. I may have overlooked this but I did not see any mention of cavitations. I would ask about that when you go. They should check for those as well. They are pockets in the jaw bone left from old extractions that did not heal properly. In those holes are bacterial of the utmost toxicity (equivalent to root canal). This can interfer with post amalgam removal healing. As it suppressed you immune function. While I am not dismissing this dentist. As you may only need amalgam removal and not have crowns, or ever had any extractions, including wisdom teeth. I did originally see a " biological dentist " trained to remove amalgam. But he did root canals. He did not do a hot job either on the two teeth he did do. This guys protocol for removing the metals seems right though. Just don't let him root canal anything. Those need to be extracted should you have any. I would go for the consult. Providing he isn't charging an arm and leg to talk to you. Feel it out. There are many holistic dentist whom are only part holistic. For example: does he use fluoride? That is not holistic. Again, not trying to offend you or discourage you but only going from exprience. I lost a molar to the " biological dentist who removed amalgam " . After switching it out it abscessed 6 months later and he wanted to root canal it. I made him pull it. So please be very careful that they know what they are doing. The lady who just did mine was very well trained and knew what she was doing. She tells you up front everything, even the risks and possible outcomes. -- In , " zyansansom1974 " <zyan@...> wrote: > > > This is a mercury free dentist and there site looks very > impressive,www.el-essawy.com the dentist himself suffered from > mercury poisoning himself. Guest guest
Is peptizyde(?) too harsh for sensitive GI tract? Recently reintroduced gluten & want to use an enzyme. Son has a lot of supplement sensitiviites & a while back our DAN said to stick w/the carb enzymes b/c the ones that break down proteins would be too harsh for him. Not sure is he meant animal proteins but doesn't he need something for the gluten proteins???
