Guest guest
HEY DEANNA! SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU HAD AN AWESOME TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY!! YOU PROBABLY NEED A VACATION FROM YOUR VACATION NOW, HUH?!?! IT WARMS MY HEART TO HEAR HOW MUCH YOU LOVE YOUR KIDS...STEP KIDS OR NOT...YOU ARE SO RIGHT...THEY ARE JUST AS LOVED AS YOUR " BLOOD " KIDS. I HAVE A GORGIOUS 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER FROM A PREVIOUS MARRIAGE...THE MAN WAS A REAL LOSER BUT DID ONE THING RIGHT IN THIS WORLD....HE HELP TO GIVE ME MY BEAUTIFUL SWEETCHEEKS, KATE. MY HUSBAND, LEN, IS JUST AMAZING IN EVERY WAY TO ME AND TO OUR DAUGHTER. SHE HAS CALLED HIM DAD SINCE THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING AND WAS THRILLED TO DO SO AND HE STILL GETS THAT GOOFY SMILE ON HIS FACE WHEN SHE CALLS HIM. SO...I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT THE LOVE YOU HAVE FOR YOUR KIDS....ALL OF THEM. I WAS 21 WHEN I HAD MY KATE. UNFORTUANTLEY, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HAVE ANY MORE KIDS DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE RSD AND THE PAIN THAT IT BRINGS. WE CERTAINLY COUNT OUSELVES BLESSED WITH KATE, BUT WOULD LOVE TO BRING A CHILD INTO THIS WORLD TOGETHER TOO..BUT I JUST GUESS IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE...AND WHEN I GET REALLY DOWN ABOUT IT, I THINK HOW FAIR WOULD IT BE TO THAT CHILD NOW SINCE I AM NOT DOING AS WELL AS I WAS WHEN KATE WAS LITTLE. OH WELL....GOT OFF MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT...THOSE WHO KNOW ME FROM THIS AWESOME GROUP BY NOW KNOW THIS HAPPENS ALOT!!LOL! WELCOME BACK! Guest guest
Hey Deanna!! Boy do I hear ya!!!!?!?! I agree with you so much, Deanna! Since you are doing one hell of an amazing job raising three boys...you will do fine with a wee one. I can tell you from my experience ...the labor was quite tough...but that is also since my stupid Irish pride made me try until I could no longer go......23 hours of labor and then finally a C-section when the dr told me anymore time would endanger my baby. well...all the pride stops there and I say...cut me. My beauty was born at 9lbs 2 oz and was 24'' tall...she was freaking huge!!!! yes, carrying her around all day and night was tough...but you learn ways to adapt....since my ex-husband was too good to even change his own child's damned diaper...what a putz!! lol I am so sorry to hear of the miscarriage. You are so right though....it does show that you body is up to the challenge of getting pregnant. Len and I would love to bring a child into the world together....as a new baby....when I married Len, our kate was 10. anyone who says that Kate isn't his will have my rath to deal with....but it would be nice to experience the pregnancy and birth with my husband....but if not....we are so blessed with our kate and have told her we expect a hell of a lot of grand babies....when she is old and married. lol I hope you have a good weekend! I saw the neuro-surgoen today....i am going to get the new battery placed insince the damned old one ran out....hell it lasted 7 years...I can't bitch that much...huh? I am also going to get 2 more leads added...the pain is making me pass out and throw up ...a lot last week and twice passed out this week...too scary. Gentle hugs to you and all, I wish pain free days for us and sleep-filled nights. God bless, Kathy **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Guest guest
thanks for your kindness, Deanna!! it sure does suck.....I am always terrified that I will hit something hard enough where the RSD will spread there too....but on the good side...not too many other places it can go....lol you are so right about the labor....i was young and stupid!!! i was only 21. I wish you the best of luck and know you are in my prayers and thoughts! Gentle hugs, Kathy g. **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today. Guest guest
Boy do I ever need a vacation from my vacation......I think I do way more when I am on vacation than while I am home! I am called the " shuffler " because I have a hard time sitting still and I start shuffling things around and organizing. I cant help myself..... Yes, I love those boys as my own and I wouldnt have it any other way! I have struggled for a very long time with not having my own children. When I was a teenager I was set on having no less than 10 kids, but I really wanted to have like 18 kids. I sure could scare away the men with that one! As I got older I came to accept than 8 kids would be sufficent, then after marriage I went to 5 kids and eventually 3 kids would make me happy. After being injured and going thru 2 bad marriages I ended up saying if I could just have 1 kid I would be estatic. I had to come to terms thru the injury and being on my 3rd marriage....but mostly because of my back, that I would probably never have children of my own. In fact, I didnt even think I could get pregnant anymore after years and years of no birth control and 3 husbands. I didnt know until May that I would be able to even get pregnant....figured it must be all the medications. As I said before, sadly I lost that baby, but now I know that my body is capable. I have thought about the possibility that thru the pain I might not be much of a mom, however if I can get my butt off the couch to raise 3 boys I can surely handle a baby. I still have many concerns though.....the pain of pregnancy and labor, the constant lifting of a child, and will I get worse thru the years??? I know where you are coming from with the train of though....Another name I got is " SideTrack girl " because I cant get from one room to the other without getting sidetracked and I can rarely finish a task without sidetracking to another. No wonder I never get anything done....LOL Deanna Re: I'm Back HEY DEANNA! SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU HAD AN AWESOME TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY!! YOU PROBABLY NEED A VACATION FROM YOUR VACATION NOW, HUH?!?! Guest guest
As a person who spent years passing out (not due to pain) I am feeling for you. It really sucks to fall and hit things on your way down or hit the floor when you get there. Passing out was very sucky!!! I am glad they are getting you more leads why they are there. I really dislike when they do things like surgery and have to go in more than once cause they didnt just do both items all in one trip. Its that old saying " penny wise, pound foolish " , try to save a buck but end up spending more in the long run. After the miscarriage I have already decided I am no doubt gonna go with the c-section. There is no way I can go thru labor....forget that craziness. I used to think I wanted the full experience, but with the injury in my lower back and the pain and then the way your spine moves to accomodate a child being delivered.....forget that! Plus doctor is afraid of making my situation worse because of the spine moving, but it was still my decision. I am still gonna wait a few months or so before trying again. Trying to cut out the max amount of med that I can possible live without, especially for the 1st trimester. Deanna Re: I'm Back Hey Deanna!! Boy do I hear ya!!!!?!?! I agree with you so much, Deanna! Guest guest
I could not pay my phone bill so I have been off the internet for a little over 2 weeks. I have over 400 unread messages in my inbox. As thi is my busiest season at work, I won't be looking at old posts on the ists or old mail for quite some time. So if there are posts or list business I need to be aware of, please let me know. Alobar
Guest guest
Welcome back. It's a great feeling when you get to the point where you can go out to dinner and not have anyone notice that you are not eating normally. Mind you, menu choices and chewing food thoroughly, with an occasional sneak of swallowproof food to the side stay important for most of us, but it feels great to be able to live pretty much normally. I would definitely recommend Dr. Roy Cobeane for anyone in Maine that needs to have this done. The staff at the Scarborough Surgery Center were awesome. The nurses and staff were so nice. The drive home wasn't too bad. I made sure to bring a pillow with me for the trip home and that did help. I even have pictures from the surgery. I was given a set of pictures to show what was done. I look forward to moving beyond the mushy food but will take it slow to prevent complications. Jenn I hope you are doing well also. Guest guest
Wishing you a quick recovery! You are finally on the other side, I hope it was a success. After my surgery I could tell right away that liquids were going down, as before surgery nothing was fun to eat, even the popcycles would make me regurg. It's been almost two years for me and I have no regrets.  Let us know how the swallowing is going???   Julee in Oregon ________________________________ From: " tlstevens2004@...
