Gayla, that is a great idea! When I had my surgery a few years back, I

lost MASSIVE amounts of blood. A 2 hour surgery turned into a 5-6 hour

ordeal. I am constantly on edge about the blood I was given, and am

tested every 6 months, just to be sure.

Believe it or not it is needed more for

back surgeries than neck, but it is never a bad idea to have insurance. Don’t

worry Suzi, I have a feeling this surgery will be much easier for you than your

ear surgeries.

I did that before my back and neck surgery. I only needed it for my lumbar

spine surgery though. I lost massive amounts of blood. But not so much

with my neck. I still think it's a good idea just to be on the safe side.

That's why I did it.

Oh Suzi, that really sucks!!! but actually if it is Shingles the castor oil pack should bring out the rash. I agree it is probably not shingles. Remind me again just where and what side this pain is??? Sorry have been forgetting my Ginko lately, can't seem to remember where I put it.

Suzi, every time I get that pain in my

side (under the breast, right where my bra hits), it’s a physical

manifestation of anxiety. I Reiki it and chant my ho’oponopono chants

and it disappears. (Anger manifests in my lower back and amorphous negative

emotion manifests as night sweats in my lower back.)

Not saying that’s your problem, but

you do know that anything physical is created/exacerbated by mental stuff…

the left side... well, the castor oil pack was quite interesting... I had it on for an hour. on the side, front and back.. I have red welts all over the back left side.. and the pain is much better. It is still a bit sore but not like it was.... If it is shingles it doesn't hurt.. I'm going to repeat this in the a.m. <phoward@...> wrote: Oh Suzi, that really sucks!!! but actually if it is Shingles the castor oil pack should bring out the rash. Suzi, do you have a small pure silver chain and a gold or brass chain? (shut up Guido!) If so, put one on each ankle and switch every 10 minutes for several times. It may help draw your energy down through your whole body and away from your middle.

Suzi,

Unbelievable. It's beginning to sound like " when it rains it

pours. " I'm praying you get quick answers. We are there with you,

but wish one or some of us was closer by to help out in whatever way

we could even if meant holding your hand.

I'm sure the chiro would want to be very careful with your condition

and maybe he would take a break from seeing you so early after the

surgery. Can you call him for his wisdom perhaps?

So now you have to wait till Fri. Yikes.

I wonder if there is a curezone group that also has dealt with what

you are experiencing now...after the surgery.......

I am going to post link for a special kind of bed my friend is using

and feeling so much better in health. Her hubby is using it too.

The cost is $2,000--sounds like a lot but maybe insurance covers

that too.

Today's Daily Word - Tuesday, February 20, 2007 Let Go, Let God God is bringing forth the new me who is emerging now. God is the answer to every challenge in life. Whether a decision I am to make seems to be of greater or lesser importance, letting go and letting God is the surest way for me to make the right choice. As I let go and let God be God in my life, I am declaring that I am not alone in making any decision or in taking any action. The very wisdom that created the universe is my guide. All that God is and all that God is capable of doing is here for me in every moment. In letting go and letting God, I am releasing the thought that anything from the past can hold me back from living fully in the present. I let go of a belief in limitation and let God show me the unlimited potential that is within me. God is bringing

forth the new me who is emerging now. “He trusts in God; let God deliver him now.”— 27:43 May the warm winds of Heaven Blow softly upon your home, May the Great Spirit Bless all who enter there May your moccasins Make happy tracks In many snows May the rainbow Always touch your shoulder

Hey Suzi -

Take care of yourself!!! Did they tell you which area of your body

shingles usually happens in? It'll be localized often times and in an

arm to start. Usually following one Dermatome I believe but again -

i'm no doctor. It may be shingles, but i do love that they say that -

instead of it being something to do with your body going through a

traumatic surgery! Frustrating to say the least I'ms ure.

The chiro for sure can use an activator etc...and can just leave your

neck alone completely...may be worth putting a call into him(chiro)

just to ASK what he thinks. I know my DC will return calls and speak

to people personally with questions like that.

Has the quality of pain changed? area or location changed? does

ANYTHING help the pain? Castor oil, ice etc?

Do keep us posted, and in the meantime I'm Thinking of you!!!

LOL! Give him a big kiss from Auntie Janet,

which ought to make him really blush hehehe. Alyssa came down with a high

fever today (104). It is spelled diarrhea. It is good you got IV fluids in

him , kids can go down way too fast without them. Most urgent cares and

hospitals do have payment plans as well if you have trouble paying the bill. Hang

in there, you did the right thing.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and positive

energy regarding

!

We went to Urgent Care yesterday. They wouldn't see him until we paid

over $100.00 up front. And it took over an hour of waiting, with him

wailing most of that time.

They examined him and said it could be a precursor to an accute

Appendix. So they gave him fluids via IV (another $250.00 and $32.00 an

hour).

They then said that we should keep an eye on him over the next few days.

Big help there.

He is doing better, though. Hardly any vomiting now, and very little

diareah (I still don't know for sure how to spell that). The cramps are

much less, and he actually slept most of the night, is still sleeping

now.

Thank you all for your well-wishes! I honestly believe that they do

make a very real difference in a very real way. I told him that all of

you were thinking of him, and he kind of blushed and turned away with a

big grin on his face.

I'll keep you posted.

Peace, love, laughter

Thanks, Janet! I'll do that, just to see him blush.

Hey, why does Alyssa have a fever? Did I miss a post about her being

sick? Or am I having a senior moment and have completely forgotten?

Either way, I am confident she is in good hands.

Peace, love, laughter

I like to reminisce with people I don't know.

You aren’t having a senior moment, I

just didn’t have the time to post. She came home from school with a

high temp yesterday. We have a type A influenza making the rounds here in

Oregon.

She is doing a little better today. The boys are over the fever but

coughing up lungs left and right. Keep taking that tonic , someone in

your house has to stay well, and here in mine that person is me so I’m

downing garlic like mad.

that was causing problems in your ankles, feet, and even low back!

Hello everyone:

I just had to share this with all of you. I don't remember if I told y'all

or not, but we have a daughter that is 24. She's got a toddler and her

husband is in Iraq right now. Anyway, she has permanent back injuries, which

consists of a couple of bulging discs and herniated discs, then a tear in the

muscles near her spine which causes a worse problem, i.e., makes the other

worse. She's been having those shots. I guess they're cortisone or something

and

has had all kinds of tests done. Some of the tests are painful and the

shots are painful. She's recently had her last shot and been told she has

degenerative disc disease. If she has to have surgery, which is the last thing

left now to do, the outcome of it is not expected to really do her any good at

all. She's in constant pain with all this and is on several kinds of

medicines, one of which is Celebrex.

So we saw her Sunday. She lives in another town about two hours away from

us. We had ordered another thing of magnesium malate to try her on some of

it. This is already good news. She started taking it late Sunday afternoon

when she got home. And for the first time in 6 months on Monday night, she

slept all night through. Usually her back wakes her up several times and she

can't sleep. She's been suffering from not enough sleep lately, which can be

a serious problem. But she didn't wake up one time. The alarm woke her up

early so she could get up and do her exercises for her back before getting

ready for work. She thought, shoot, I'm staying in bed and getting a little

extra rest. I know this doesn't sound like a big thing, but it's surely an

improvement. And now she's going to add one more magnesium at noontime. I

told

her to. But it is starting to help her now and the more she gets in her, I'm

hoping that it will gradually help heal her back. I guess it could do that

maybe in time, or at least make her life more bearable.

Then, and this is weird, but it must be because of the mg malate. My

husband has had itchy skin problems his whole lifetime. He scratches and

scratches

and has always done this. Sometimes getting water on him even irritates him

and makes him itch. We're working on our second week of mg now, and all

this has totally and completely stopped, no more itching at all unless he gets

a

bite. His skin feels like a baby's skin. Well, I didn't think about this

stuff would help our skin. Or maybe it's making some other enzyme that the

magnesium is making it work in him that his causing this, but it's helping my

skin too and not only that. He said last night that when he goes outside and

works in the hot sun, no more BO. No more body odor at all. So there must

be something in it doing that too.

Well, I'm thinking that years ago before my GB problems started and if I had

known about this stuff, I would still have my GB today. I bet that I've

been deficient most of my life.

Just had to share. I know it's not about GB, but everything is connected,

basically.

Strange, but also encouraging. Since I started having minor GB attacks again

in the past several weeks, I started my Magnesium Malic again and noticed

that it helps, however, I've been very itchy lately (literaly). I'm thinking

what I might be able to attribute it to... maybe, allegies. Maybe dry skin.

Maybe certain foods. Maybe just the present state of my GB. I did consider the

Magnesium Malic formula tablets too. Wouldn't be surprized if it was because

certain medications seem to have the reverse affect on me. I've been itching at

night and different times of day. I changed shampoos yesterday to see if

that would make a difference.

Hi Suzy,

Our son's eyes were not even right after his surgery

either. But within a few months they were. At his

one year post-op check we compared the pictures at our

doctor and he was amazed at home much better he looked

a year later.

He is now a little over 2 years post-op (he has

silicone slings) and he still doesn't close his eyes

when he sleeps. We have a lubricating ointment we put

in his eyes every night right after we read books (he

says the ointment makes his vision blurry so he likes

to do it right before he goes to sleep). When you

tell him to close his eyes he simply rolls his eyes

back where all you see is white. Yes, it takes some

getting used to but honestly we don't think about it

at all now.

I'm sure your doctor mentioned it, but after his

surgery our son became very bothered by bright lights.

He always wears sunglasses when he plays outside.

Other than that he is doing great and we really don't

notice anything at all. I'm glad Lili is doing well.

Hi Glad to hear everything went well. Holly could not close her eyes for the first week after surgery but can now close her eyes when she sleeps. Sometimes you may see a little slit of eye but generally she can close them all the way. I think each indivual case is different.
