Guest guest Report post Posted July 16, 1999 , You are on the right track. I hope we can help. First off, I did three liver/gallbladder cleanses and got nothing out and felt terrible! They say, if you have really large and/or lodged stones even a cleanse will not get them out. Also, it is important to do a parasite cleanse, prior to a liver/gallbladder cleanse.......you can not remove stones with living parasites. However, one great way to break down stones is to drink as much apple juice/apple cider as possible. In the morning only eat fresh fruits and vegetables and as much juice as possible. Stop eating at round 2 and proceed with the cleanse. If no one posts the steps of the cleanse, email me personally. Apple juice/cider is the key to breaking down bigger stones. It works!!!! After an all day drinking slurge I passed a bunch of stones. Good luck. Jomma

Thank you, and Adam Hi and Adam I wish I had more information for you, but it appears I know about what you do. My understanding is he DOC band is only offered through Calgary and Edmonton and Ottawa and Toronto deal with the helmet. I am at a total loss as far as cost and coverage. I know my own benefits cover the orthotics but not the travel, stay, etc. Sorry I can't be of more assistance, but when I know more I'll write. and Spencer
Guest guest Report post Posted August 15, 2001 Dear Leonard, this reminds me of something I had in my twenties. It was caused by acid washing up into the lower part of the oesophagus, so it wasn't like a sore throat but made it very painful for me to swallow food. The doctor gave me antibiotics for this. I try not to take them now unless I absolutely have to because of the Candida explosion I always get. (Always take Acidophilus tablets with antibiotics). But, as your doctor is away you could try Echinacea from the healthfood store, it is a natural immune booster, so if it is some sort of infection or similar it will help your immune system to fight it off. Also, it would be a good idea to see your doctor when he gets back, just to check it isn't anything more serious. Also, as Tom says drink plenty of water. Guest guest Report post Posted August 15, 2001 Dear Leonard, sorry, I forgot to mention in my first post to get a good antacid as well. I used to use Gaviscon, but I don't know if you can get that where you are. This is only short term help to keep you going until your doctor gets back. If it turns out to be what I had you may need to tweak your diet or add something to keep the acidity levels in your stomach down. Your doctor will know what's best though. It was the symptom that made my sister get hers diagnosed. Your doctor will probably give you a prescription antacid. From: "neiceetn" Reply-Rheumatoid Arthritis Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: help Date: Wed, 28 May 2003 04:34:44 -0000 I know this is a stupid question, but does anyone know what the joint is called that is between your thigh bone on top where it meets your pelvic area? It has been gradually getting worse, and I tried to reach my rheumy today but he wasn't in, and I had no idea how to desribe the location I am hurting in. Guest guest Report post Posted May 28, 2003 If it is where mine hurts, it is terrible. Mine hurts right in front about level with top of pubic hair(sorry don't know how else to describe it). I have to sleep with a pillow between my knees or the pain is excrutiating when I roll onto my back. Does yours ever feel like that area pops and if it does is very painful? Mine hurts to walk and I have to be very careful going down stairs because if it pops I can't put any weight on it and I might fall. It got better after I started taking Vioxx but has not disappeared. Mine also hurts on the outside of the hip area. Left leg a lot worse than right. Let us know what your rheumy says. I don't care too much for mine but I think I'm stuck with him because of insurance issues. Guest guest Report post Posted March 11, 2004 Chris: I would go see another rheumatologist. If you don't feel as though your doctors are helping and/or unresponsive to your needs, you need to move on. RA can cause permanent damage unless it's stopped. And just because you don't have an RA factor doesn't mean you don't have RA. GEtting a DX, getting on the right drugs can take a long time. You owe it to yourself and your family to try and find the right kind of help for yourself. It is very discouraging and tiring to be in constant pain as we all know here. Fatigue is a large part of RA. Even if you don't have RA, you need to be able to look forward to finding a way to get better. Best of luck to you. gloria
Guest guest Report post Posted March 11, 2004 I agree with Gloria about a different rheumatologist. Also doctors often give Prednisone for at least a short course to determine how the patient responds. If Prednisone help the symptoms appreciably it is likely to be inflammatory and if Prednisone does nothing your problems are likely to be something else. The SED rate indicates inflammation so Prednisone might help. However, if it is RA you need to be on a DMARD (disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug) to that you don't get permantent joint damage. The sooner you start a DMARD the less likely permanent damage will occur. Good luck, God bless, and keep us posted. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Wednesday, March 10, 2004 6:15 PM Subject: help Hello. I'm new here and hope I can get some info.I have been seeing an ortho doc for about 7 years for pain in my hands and wrists. He has hinted at RA, but won't confirm the dx. My pain is mainly right sided (knee, ankle) severe in my wrist. Ortho doc has done an MRI which showed a lot of fluid between all the bones in my wrist. My sed rate was elevated (68) but the rheumatiod factor is still negative. I am at a breaking point. I am only 34, have two children, a great job, and in otherwise great health. Guest guest Report post Posted March 12, 2004 Hi Chris: RA can be a very destructive disease...if caught in its earlier stages the joint damage can be slowed down and at times, if lucky, stopped..: ) I would suggest a new rheumy for you...I took the gamut of anti inflammatories, still take Celebrex twice a day, yet am also on methotrexate which is a DMARD as grandapvan had mentioned...maybe also some xrays of your wrist, and the other places you had mentioned might also be in order as well??? Yes, 34 is a very young age at which to get this disease..I got it at 40 and have been battling its ups n' downs for 5 yrs..but you, you will have good and bad days... The rheumy might wish to check into the other autoimmune diseases such as lupus, Sjogrens and such..ask for what is called a " Rheumatoid panel " blood test.. Good luck on this one...and keep us posted..kay? God bless --- In Rheumatoid Arthritis , " " <scoriley@w...> wrote: > Hello. Guest guest Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Right now I have an icepack strapped around my waist with a belt and I'm sitting on three more. I'm leaving no stoned unturned And no butt with abandament issues either..LOL Have you tried the cold then hot bath with epsom salts? What about a warm castor oil pack then cold again? Maybe try alternating. When taking the hot bath, try drinking camomile tea..really get things heated up and also relaxed at the same time. If you can't get to a chiropractor, call in a mesage person...although painful at the time, it helps later to get a deep muscle message. Most of the mesage people will come to your house. That's if money is not an issue. Hope you feel better very soon. Anne When in pain, I will try anything except medication.
Guest guest Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Are you juicing or eating raw right now? I haven't been juicing since I got this sciatica. Just drinking bottled apple juice (no sugar) and lots of RO water...the only kind I drink. I have probably had a gallon of water since last night. I haven't been eating raw. I had a MorningStar Farm burger today. I have 5 lbs. of organic carrots in the fridge and I'm going to juice that up today. Maybe throw some organic celery and garlic in it too. I'm running a little low on the veggies I have on hand. Did you try the hot/cold...at least 2 times a day or 3 or 4.... Today I took a hot shower (aimed on my lower back), then got out and sat on the ice packs. I find if I ONLY do hot, it gets worse after awhile. So, yes, I'm doing hot and cold, but I have to admit, it's mostly cold therapy (ice). Taking a shower is the only way I know how to get that really hot water directly on it but it's so inconvenient to shower 3+ times a day. But I just might do it!!!!! What the heck! I really can't do much else so I may as well. Gloria
