I have a soon to be 7-yr-old son who experienced early on-set autism. I think

you will have a harder time finding unvaccinated children with regressive

Early on-set is when the child is afflicted very early and fails to acheive many

developmental milestones like making eye contact, babbling and cooing,

imaginative play, not participating in interactive games like clapping hands is

response to mom clapping (they lack many immitation skills), and one of the

biggest red flags of all - not pointing. Roughly 50 % don't develop normal

language either.

On the other hand, many children regress into autism after developing skills

like the ones mentioned above that they quickly begin to lose once the downward

spiral of autism starts. This typically happens between 15 and 20 months after

they get the MMR. This is not true for all cases, but certainly true for too

many.

and nearly NONE with 'regressive autism' (where most cases also have GI

involvement)

These labels really need to be changed...........

if unvaccinated often history of:

1. antibiotics to mom during pregnancy or while breastfeeding

2. antibiotics to infant

3. use of tylenol

4. amalgams in mom's mouth

5. mom vaccinated with rubella vaccine at some point before conception

6. rhogam shot given while pregnant (mercury in that)

7. strong emotional event for mom during pregnancy

It is just that - those that have been 'different' since birth (of course

if got hep b vax that could be the cause).

But if didn't get hep b vax and still different from birth - early onset.

But if developing normally and then regressed - that is regressive.

but I have been traveling and haven't had time to read much

Tell me his whole history and your history with him - pregnancy, delivery,

He used to respond to his name and to prompts, like “close the door”,

“play trains?”, he used to interact more w/ the sibs and he’d interact

more w/ us, he’d initiate play.. not sure when he started to slip away,

it was not overnight and it’s mostly been a “oh yeah, he used to do X”

He used to say “mama” with deliberation, while looking at me and used to

say “dada”

He used to be a ham for the camera too and we have several baby pictures

where he’s looking at the camera. Not so much anymore. He will give a

face view and not just turn away.

family. His mom and grandma have asperger’s, his nephew has asperger’s,

Wow, Venita. You had your fair share of stuff going on. Add that to a genetic

predisposition and the risk goes up up up. There was major antibiotic abuse with

my son at birth and for two months after. He had a steady diet if abx for the

first two months of his life not to mention a few early " shocks " at the hands of

The obnoxious thing is I asked the ear doctor if the antibx were safe

for me w/ so young a baby and nursing him.. of course he said sure. He

didn’t get them directly injected but through the blender.. I don’t

know the one real cause.. I think it’s like everything else.. a

conglomeration.

Oh Sherri...I am freaked out now by this list.

1. They gave me antibiotics during my pregnancy..bacterial infection

2. Gave me Diflucan after for a yeast infection/ I am breastfeeding

3. I had an EXTREMELY stressful legal situation during my pregnancy

4. I had the rhogham shot

5. I used tylenol and have given it to my daughter as she is teething

She did not have hep b or any vaccines at all. What should I do at

this point?? She did have gentian violet too. ARRGGHHH I also took a

lot painkillers for about 3-4 weeks daily because of my delivery. She

ended up with reflux and has possible food allergies. I am so scared

now. HELP

I can’t help w/ much but to say skip the Tylenol for teething. Boiron

makes a wonderful teething drops stuff called “camilia drops”. You can

go to google or search and find the best price. I use them all the

time and not for just teething!

Do some searches on the Amish people (who do not vaccinate)and rates

of autism. There are 40,000 Amish in Lancaster Co, PA and I believe

the article I saw said were are 3 documented cases of autism and two

of those children lived outside of the amish while babies.

Interesting...nowhere near the 1:150 that we hear about everywhere

else. Not that vaccines are the only cause of autism but the Amish

also eat their own fresh nonprocessed foods and have little or no

exposure to the toxins that we as a society are exposed to.

None of these are a 'given' of autism following...............everyone is

an individual and some have stronger constitutions than others

boys are more at risk also.

Remind me how old she is now.

Where do you live?

Better to use homeopathy with teething - I will send some info.

Don’t be freaked out… just b/c it happened, d/n mean your child w/b

autistic. All of mine have had vita K, rhogam, some have had abx

themselves,.. my first 4 were vaxxed.. it just depends on the child.
