I just remembered about Wheatsville Co-op near 31st St on Guadalupe

(just north of UT campus). I'm going to stop by this afternoon. Also

there's Whole Foods, though I boycott them for personal reasons. Have

a great visit!

E Long

Hi E. Long,

I just wanted to thank you for your information on the Farmers Market

places in Austin. I made notes and already have them in my suitcase

of the places to get the goat and sheep cheese. We can check them out

in January.

Hi E Long,

Is Wheatsville Co-op one of those stores you have to have a membership in?

Would they have Ezekiel bread as well as sheep and/or goat cheese? I'm

thinking we could buy it on the way in to my son's house, since we would be

using I-35 to go there. Then my daughter and I would have the right bread

and cheese when we have sandwiches.

You get a 7% discount if you are a member; non-members pay " sticker "

price. It's competitive pricing with the other HFS in the area. I

have seen frozen Ezekial bread in both Sun Harvest Farms stores in

Austin (north by Northcross Mall and south in Brodie Oaks Shopping

Center). I haven't checked for goat cheese. I find that if I eat any

cheese, I just want more. Isn't that what Lowell/Ann was talking

about? <smile>

That's the best idea with the cheese. It's one thing I haven't quite

convinced myself to give up. However, if I keep it frozen it stays along

time. That's what I plan when I get home with it. It's nice to know where

the HFS are down there.

,

There are several sites, has a list of them on her page... (I don't

have her website right now).

The one I do remember is:

http://www.iscoliosis.com

This site is a comprehensive look at adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. It

has good anatomy description pages and glossary pages. I hope you find

information for them. Keep us posted.

Kristi:

My advice to you would be try the practice test online and use the

files availible through this group to study. Also have faith in yourself! I took

the practice test 2 times just to reassure myself that I could pass the test.

Touch up on your math skills and study your drugs. Good luck and God bless!

I do agree, but I had my hearing aid on and heard him talking but did not

talking, the more he talked, the more it frustrated me. I told him when he

first approached the car that I am deaf and need to lipread, he kept on

talking, i SWORE, he didn't want to believe what i said,,,, after so much more

talking, I repeated the statement that I am deaf and need to lipread and if he

can

please move forward so I can lipread, but he didn't stop and left me right

at the time, there were more talking before he left to his car.

That stop, which should had let me go in less than two minutes took over 10

minutes, all for the tail light.

yes, it was kind of him to FINALLY " got smart " and wrote a note about the

tail light. I was just frustrated with the way he handled my request that I am

deaf and he was being a " motor mouth " . When I spoke to a friend of mine who

is a retired police officer, she said that most of the time, when coming to

a deaf driver, they are " trained " to recognize " deaf speech " , but my speech

always been quite good, and I may have " fooled " the stupid one. She also said

" safety stop " are generally over with in less than 1 or 2 minutes. Two

minues vs. 10 minutes,,, see my beef?

There was a study done somewhere. (in England I think) quite a while ago

that showed deaf people were one of the safest groups of drivers and the

Police in New Zealand generally agree with this but then they don't

normally have to worry that some nutter is going to start shooting at them

because he/she is upset at being stopped.

I thought that the Officers writing a note to explain that the Taillight

wasn't working was quite good.

Hi ,

Welcome to the group ! I have never heard of an 'artificial cardia'. Are you

referring to the lower oesophageal sphincter ? Do tell us more about what

you know then we can perhaps do some research and find out more. Sounds most

intriguing.

Hi Joan,

I always try to get from the web the latest about A.

I found this as an alternative option for A. patients:

_________________________________________________

Artificial Cardia Transplant Successful in Shanghai

A hospital in Shanghai has successfully transplanted artificial cardia, an opening connecting the esophagus and the upper part of the stomach, into six patients who had had their cardia removed. These are believed to be the first such operations in China, and the operation is expected to become a procedure for treating diseases such as esophageal reflux and fistula, which result from cardia removal. The No. 9 People's Hospital affiliated to the No. 2 Medical Sciences University developed the artificial cardia with metallic and macromolecule materials and transplanted them in the process of linking the esophagus with the stomach. The cardia serves as a kind of valve to prevent the refulgence of stomach contents into the esophagus.

I found it a very interesting alternative. I want to know more about it.

Interesting stuff from Mr. Horowitz. Seems he has a conspiracy theory

related to emerging viruses and other bugs......promoted by corrupt

government agencies/agendas. I also recall he is pioneering alternative

health methods and spiritual healing in his current ministry. Those familiar

with his thesis....what think you?

Glad you are feeling better and doing well now. Don't know Dr. P, have heard

great things, but FLO, well, she's a legend...and I couldn't agree with you

more. She is one of the BEST benefits of the MGB...losing 220 pounds, worth

a fortune...having Flo as a friend..... priceless....

Subject: Information

Hi, this is Ellen Serpa and I wasn't feeling well a week or so ago and my

husband came on the internet to ask anyone who might have had the same

symtoms as I because he is so thoughful. I just wanted to let you know that

I am feeling better and whatever it was is better. My doctor helped me out

not just physically but emotionaly also.

Dr. Peraglie gave me back my life as far as the surgery is concern but also

made me feel that I am a better person. There is not enough words in the

dictionary that I can say about him and I am spreding the word about mgb as

I am speaking to my friends and other people are listening. I would also

like to thank Flo Ballengee, She is also a lifesaver. You can talk to her

about anything and she is always there for you.

This Thanksgiving I know whom I am going to be giving thanks to this year.
