We know we can't though. You've got a lot of reason

for hope and a thing like this can make your son

stronger. He'll come around. -dz-

That sounds logical. What gets me more about the dr's

(at least mine), he won't even admit that the pain is

related to the hcv. So hard to get good help these

Wherabouts? I am also salaried. I work some days over

and some days I leave early. We are allowed comptime

since we get no overtime pay. So as long as I work it

out to 40 hours whenever I can. -dz-

Jenn,

Everyone's experience seems to be a little different. I'm glad to tell you about mine on Feb 1. I woke up from surgery and felt fairly OK. After a couple of hours in the recovery room I was allowed to be driven home. There was no pain that day. No, you won't be able to hear immediately after surgery. You ear will have packing in it. The next day I had some pain but the pain pills took care of most of that. I was home for a week but don't really know why. There were some shooting pains from time to time that really hurt but they have all but gone away now. My ear bled for about two weeks but has recently stopped. I will have the rest of the packing out tomorrow morning. It is very scary before hand but you'll find that there was really nothing to be afraid of after it is over.

I believe I will get through it with little to no problems...

Like I said chemo wasn't a picnic at first either, but I made it through it.

What was scaring me more than anything about starting treatment was the

thought of having to stay in the hospital...but after several people telling

me they have spent no time in the hospital, I'm not scared anymore. I just

don't want to add fuel to the fire with my ex husband...(custody battle for

son because of me staying in the hospital so much with the cancer)
