Maybe she won't come, I've found that referrals for long-term patients from different programs have a high no-show rate, June, Vista WLS, Waukegan, IL (unknown) Hello everyone, I was hoping to run this case by the rest of the group and get some feedback. I just received a call from a woman who had bypass surgery 20 years ago. She is complaining of severe N/V/D which she has had ever since her surgery. She says she has eliminated dairy from her diet, she does not eat red meat, but she does drink coffee and regular soda (possibly dumping?). She says she never eats more than what fits on a small salad plate and that it can take her up to one hour to eat that amount. I've scheduled an appointment to meet with her on Monday the 28th. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can best help her problem solve? Thank you in advance and happy holidays! Guest guest
Oh so you were hacked.  I see, antivirus going to clean it up? It is difficult to remove virus from computer.  The last thing I need is someone to spoof their sender email address to be like it were coming from me but I think may have a better antispoof.  Ok, well let us know if the virus is still in the computer, you may have to take the extreme measure.  Thank you :-)

Guest guest
I would run like hell from those surgeons and towards an OS who practices 21st century medicine. First, NO hip replacement procedure removes ligaments. What happens in most of them is that the muscles and ligaments are cut during the process but eventually they heal. FWIW the anterior (approach) which I had does NOT cut any muscles or ligaments as the incisions go in through the front through naturally occurring openings. I have no restrictions -- many people (even with the posterior more standard approach) have no restrictions and certainly they engage in the activities you set forth. Biking was one of the first activities the PT people had me do to warm up -- granted it was on a stationary bicycle but the movement is the same and falling from a bike may or may not be an issue for people with no hip replacements. I would certainly opt for surgery and get back to all the activities you seem to enjoy. But do find an OS who isn't practicing voodoo medicine LOL. Guest guest
Hello Kathleen, I have never heard of a doctor removing ligaments...I am 40 years old and just had a THR Sept. 1st. You might want to get a 2nd and maybe a 3rd opinion. I cross my legs, ride my bike, etc. Now since I just had my surgery about 4 months ago I can't do everything just yet but I am getting there. Now my doctor did tell me that I could never play hard sports again like volleyball, baseball, etc. but I could swim, play golf (although I hate golf ) Please do your homework about THR before having it because the more you know the better off you will be. Guest guest
I have never heard of ligaments being removed and I have had two hip replacements, a fusion and a few other surgeries. But I have had so much damage done from so many surgeries that I can never ride a bike, ski and always walk with a cane. I know a lot about life long restrictions and the fear of falling may cause the need for another surgery and I just turned 30. So yup the ligaments really stand out for me a second opion defintely is a wise choice. ~Contessica

Guest guest
Dear D, I think you need some basic background work in immunology and the answers to your questions would be more self-evident. Rather than looking for a forum that meets your needs of expectations for infallibility, I would suggest you broaden your knowledge on physiology and particularly the immune system. Lastly, your assumption that AIDS patients :have little or no immune system is not true. They do indeed have an immune system working, if dysfunctional, and this dysfunctonality varies from individual to individual. They would be dead in hours, if your assumptions were true of virtually no immune system existing. I am not " sold " on the infallibility of sodium chlorite. Practical experience in the real world will tell you that there is nothing that is infallible. Your perceptions for MMS is what is off. I have personally seen it heal animals that were doomed and not others. That is good enough for me at the moment to consider it a valuable alternative in some cases. Consistent miracles, I never expect in a world of so many variables, and you should not either. good luck, doug [ ] (unknown) > Well, we have no Aids patient under the hand to tell us if it worked for > him or not, this is unfortunate. Guest guest
I am glad this topic has been brought up as I am married to a SA. I find myself unable to cope with this some days. Most days I should say. It is horrible on both sides. (unknown) Over active libido is usually the result of addictive process. Immediate gratification, need for acceptance, depression, and low self esteme can make anything that is pleasurable,...addictive. If you mistake love for sex, acceptance for sex,....low self esteme can set you up to act out impulsively or seek out sexual encounters. Anti depressants are sometimes used for addictive behaviors and along with therapy can put libido back into perspective and make sex less enthralling. Sexual addiction can be treated successfully but not if the person in treatment is harbouring secrets and hides personal issues of shame and guilt. Guest guest
Why in 5 years, not 1 , 2, 3, 4, would my doctor tell me I have inflammatory tissues from MMS maintenance dose. Wht does MMS do to inflame anything: Are you a medical doctor that would KNOW or do you just make frivilous statements based on nothing. [ ] (unknown) Well, we have no Aids patient under the hand to tell us if it worked for him or not, this is unfortunate. Aids patients have no or little immune system and they are lucky they can still be be cured by MMS. We have someone with a simple cold but taking MMS and this person needs a good immune system to heal and cannot rely on MMS alone.Guys, Do you succeed to communicate directly with Jim ?Do you know a more general forum where I can discuss MMS or other alternative stuff, for people a little more expecting, i.e not sold to MMS ?I hope for those who take blindly MMS everyday as maintenance that you will not regret if ever your doctor discover in 5 years you have permanent inflamatory problems in your tissues. Guest guest
Sounds like a great plan for the week, Sapphy! (unknown) I've tracked my food for tomorrow (not good but can't be helped). I've tracked my Monday morning exercise, no evening exercise as it's my chat night with . Will resume the gym on Tuesday. I've started filling in spaces on my Biggest Loser calendar, thinking of goals. I think 7 pounds in January is doable. So that's my short term goal, 7 pounds by 2/1. I'm going to buy a small notebook to carry with me to the gym so I can log my minutes/mph/mileage so I can challenge myself to push myself every week. I can visualize me doing all this, and I see me getting smaller. I think that's important, to keep visualizing success so as we work for it, we can see our new selves in the distance. *~*~*~* "You can deprive the body, but the soul needs chocolate" -Sapphyre *~*~*~* "Meditate. Guest guest
I am impressed. Good for you. You go! I decided to just record on my e-mail calendar my exercise and weekly weight. Also anything out of the ordinary. I don't think I would be able to stick with the recording everything. I don't want to set myself up for something I can't keep up with. I think I will be able to monitor my eating without writing it down. I took last night off of exercise, because I had done a lower body balance ball work out on Friday and my legs were just too sore. Tonight I will probably just do the treadmill and bike. apmleehere@...From: Sapphyre <sapphyreonalosingstreak@...>100Plus List <100-plus >Sent: Sun, January 3, 2010 6:52:57 PMSubject: (unknown) I've tracked my food for tomorrow (not good but can't be helped).
