hi harold,nice meeting ya...about getting s.s. disability,you have to almost be

bed ridden, thats wat ive heard,wheres you cant even hold your head up,sad to

say but thats wat ive been told. ive had this about 14 yrs or less...i feel

good,i get tierd but i just push past that feeling and it goes away im just

glad i found out about it while giving plasma feb,09 so i can eat better and

drink more water and i did like a few beers on the week-end so of course thats

over,lol. i quit smoking oct 27th,08 so it was tough not smoking after hearing

that i have hepC. but im so proud to have seen the strenghth that i never really

thought i had sounds like you got a nice family and supportive. cant you find

work?

You need to find a dr. who says you are disabled and will write a letter to that

affect.  There are both good and cold s.o.b.s out there.  You may have to go to

2 or three. 

 

My doctor sent me to an attorney and I had disability in 2 months.  He took his

payment for doing the paperwork out of my first 3 checks.

recieved disability was when my husband wrote every body from the president

down. I had tried 2 times before the regular way but no luck. None of my doctors

would help. I was lucky to work at a place where the manager was a wonderful

man. anyway , the vice president was helpful in getting my disability. I got my

hep-c by getting a transfusion when I had my youngest son. I also tried to work

after my transplant but could not do it. I have to say this also. I had great

insurance from my husbands job but we still had to pay 113,000 for my

transplant. They had told us that we were going to be charged double so we could

pay for someone else to have a transplant. His insurance put up a global fund of

a million dollars and we still had to pay 113,000 . In turn we filed bankrupcy.

We had payed much more than what our insurance told us that we would have to pay

3000 a year. I'm sorry that I got off the subject, but I am still very angry

about it. You will have to find a doctor to write a letter for you. If you tell

them that you did drugs with dirty needles you might get on that way also. That

is another story also.I do know that you must have a wonderful wife to have

stayed with you, most spouses do not stay with their husband or wife. Stay in

there.

hay deb ! my wife and children are very supportive of me !I talk to one doc and

he thinks I got it like 20 + years ago !!I like to go back to work but all the

sympothm are there .so I keep pressing forward and don't look behind .we like

like to move south like al ,ga area ;hoping that would boost up a better chance

hay deb ! my wife and children are very supportive of me !I talk to one doc and

he thinks I got it like 20 + years ago !!I like to go back to work but all the

sympothm are there .so I keep pressing forward and don't look behind .we like

like to move south like al ,ga area ;hoping that would boost up a better chance

for family support,without that i think this all would be so much worst! hey do

you know if a person can re'infect themselves,like if you already have hep and

someone else exposes theirs to you,can that happen by your own self? would it

make your viral load higher or something,just wondering if you can turn around

and re infect ourselves...and make it worst.

Hey, My name is Lloyd ONeil and I live in Hagerstown Md. I am 58 yrs old and

was diagnosed with hep c back in '96 but have had it from '69-'70. Most of my

old friends from those days have had it or does have it also which you can guess

what category of people we were.

I have watched over the yrs a lot of people go through the interfuron programs

with a lot of success but all had not so good results with the long term taking

of the medication (mentel physical, & phychological).

I had a bioptsy 6 yrs ago and went on the medication and had such a bad time of

it the doctors took me right off of it and it took me a good six months to start

smiling again. I am new to this group and am wondering if anyone else out there

has had the same results with the interfuron?

I am now a church going very sober man these days and would like some feedback.

so you didnt finish treatment huh...i have not done anything this far,just

eating good and taking liver formula and milk thistle. ive had this bout 14 yrs

and feel perfectly normal,as far as my liver well i have no clue wat that may

look like but im to scared to do biopsy/treatment,i have excellent insurance but

im just to freaked out about how treatment may make me feel,i have enough

depression off and on i dont need to aggrivate it any worst either. anyhow,youve

had this quite awhile,how is your health for the most part? do you work? i made

it threw the early seventies without falling prey to the needle,i was totally

against that shit. i was 8 months p.g. and me and my boyfriend watched his

friend shoot up about 10 times in a row and god only knows how long he was doing

it before we got there,it was pretty gross,he was a fanatic about it,im sure hes

got hep and probably dead by now. after he shot all that crap up,he and a chick

went to disney world in

florida and he o.d. right in the middle of it,crazy stuff...i was married 17

yrs and divorced in 91 and was dating a guy for 4 yrs,broke off with him,just

hanging out with friends after that and which was in 95,i went to a house party

and a guy i knew ask if i wanted to and i did it 1 time 1 fricken time,when i

look back i remember him doing it first and then he did me,i still cant believe

i did it,yep...i was drinking!!! my daughter is thee only one that knows the

truth,other family members and some people in here i told was from my tattoo,but

we really dont know do we...im sure it was from the needle,how embarressing!!!
