Guest guest
Maggie-I don't want to close the door....I would rather go through it headed in your direction, or any other warmer climate. Oh, by the way, anyone post myotomy notice that they are cold all the time? Guest guest
It sounds very inviting..sometimes I feel like I will never be warm again. It is a good thing that we have a hot tub on the deck. Guest guest
Hey Jo! I am always cold, no difference pre/post op. But I think maybe I should invest in a hot tub, that sounds wonderful!! > > > > Marilyn, good to have you posting again, we've missed you. > > > > Please let us know what you find when you go get your upper > > GI. Guest guest
I love it, but would like to have it enclosed. It is strange having your head covered in snow while you soak in 104 degrees. I remember the same thing from the hot springs resort in northern Japan, so I guess it isn't too odd, but I would still rather not walk barefoot through the snow anymore. Guest guest
Hello wooleeacre@..., In reference to your comment: Thanks, Maggie... you are such a doll. How are you...? I'm fine Carolyn. I am eating most things since my 2nd dilatation 19 months ago. I have a lot of "mini spasms" but most of the time I can stop them with water. Other than that I am just getting older and slower. Thanks for asking, Maggie

Guest guest
Hi Thanks so much for your imput, Tarlov cysts are cysts that are growing inside the spinal cord and pressing on nerves and I can't find anyone that had had the SCS and not had to have it taken out because it upsets the nerves further, glad it is working for you though. I have had 5 operations with other problems on my back, so really am at a loss as to what to do now. Thanks for your help, might give it more thought. Maggie > > Hi there Maggie, > > Nice to meet you. I am from Western Australia. Way down south heading towards Esperance. > I'm sorry I don't know what Tarlov cyst's are. It doesn't sound very nice. > I've had 6 back operations now. I have degenerative disc problems. My disc's have been slowly crumbling onto each other, and the nerves have been getting impinged each time it happens. > I had the stim fitted because of the damage that has been done to the nerves. It has helped so much with the pain. You must look upon it as a treatment not a cure. I have been able to reduce my medication in half, and some medication I have cut out altogether. > I can't tell you whether or not to have the procedure done. But I will say this to you. What's more important? Quality of life or Quantity of life? I'd go for Quality any time over Quantity. > I hope someone here can help you with your queries. Everyone is from all over the globe and have some stories that usually make yourself feel not that bad off. That's what I thought anyway - lol. > Don't hesitate to keep messaging or asking for advice. We're all here to help each other as much as we can, > > Warm Cheers > >

Guest guest
Totally agree with you, Jo. It should be called Maggie's Miracle if they can discover something. My thoughts and prayers are with Diane and family at this unbelievably difficult time. Maggie is such an inspiration - by no means a saint, but just a great kid who thinks of others first. She is an amazing girl who has touched many in her young life. Hugs to everyone, Michele ( 22, spondy) ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of joking70 Sent: Tuesday, February 09, 2010 2:40 PM Subject: Re: Maggie Been asking everyone I know to give it everything they've got, praying for the family. We are indebted to Maggie for her selfless decision to donate her body so that doctors can try find a cure for these diseases. If they do, they should call it " Maggie's Miracle " !
