Guest guest
List, Where can I find a " press release " that I can give to my local radio, TV and newspaper. I am not good at putting my feelings and thoughts down on paper. And if I put out something I want it to be correct and good. Keeping the Faith, (Myles) Sra M. Guest guest
Aisha You are such agreat support person! I do feel better now that the scrapping is over. I could not take the back and forth bickering. It is better just to agree to disagree and not talk about it. I can not be fake and act like I can accept people who are slandering me so that they can pass the buck and not look bad, it is their way to get out of having to help(or look bad to others) If they make it MY FAULT and make it sound like I just dont want to work--they get off without looking bad and they dont have to help me. ITs all calming down now and I have a new understanding for families who " divorce " as I had never experienced it before. Hugs and Thanks for your understanding Colleen

You are right, if they are going to be two faced, and blame you for everything and try to come out squeaky clean themselves, then you do just have to leave them to it, to wallow in thier own shit. I have just wiped the majority of my inlaws, it was the hardest thing at the time, but now, it just feels like a huge relief! (although I could sure understand what Aisha meant by unwanted phonecalls, I still get nervous picking up the phone, as I am worried that " one of them " will be on the line, and I just don't want the stress.) I have also never experienced this before, and I have never hated anyone in my life, however I am coming real close to it with my lying sisterinlaw. It is scary to be in such an awful situation though isnt it? I always thought that to end up in a family brawl was so pitiful, so " talk show " however with deranged people in the family it is inevitable. At least we still have our dignity :-) Hang in there, sorry to hear you have been going through this, it is the pits, *hug* :-)
Guest guest
((((((((((((((((((((colleen)))))))))))))))))))) your real friends are going to stick by you no matter what. it sure is hard though to have people go out of your life. NO ONE deserves to be treated badly because of an illness. colleen, i have missed reading some mail due to being sick myself. do you mind if i ask what is wrong? luv n hugs char PS you will always be beautiful to us!!!!!!!!!! Re: Kristy Thanks Kristy I know there are many of you who have gone through the family struggle and I guess I feel it would be better if my disease WERE invisible. That is part of the prob I dont look like my old self and that seems to freik people out--I was always tan and healthy and big bright eyes. Now no tan and my eyes look like Ive been crying all the time etc. I am learning to accept that there are some people who may never accept this and I cant accept being treated like shit right now(or ever)-so I have just watched many people fade out of my life during this hell year- Hugs Colleen

Guest guest
Thanks for your letter, I really appreciate you taking the time to write. Not really feeling much better, so I am just taking my time, and doing very little. Tried some M & P tonight and getting very aggrivated trying to get them out of the mold. Do you know of something I can try besides the frig and hot water? Kathy
Guest guest
> Tried some M & P tonight and getting very aggrivated trying to get > them out of the mold. Do you know of something I can try besides the frig > and hot water? Kathy Kathy- I think it depends on the mold itself. I use Life of the Party molds for my basic bars. The plastic is thin and they usually are ready to pop out of the mold within a couple of hours. I also use Fine Art Soap Molds, which are a heavy plastic, and I let those sit overnight because they are pretty tough to unmold. I've read that you shouldn't put molds in the freezer because they could crack when trying to unmold them. Sitting for 24 hours or so lets the m & p shrink away from the mold a little so it's easier to unmold. That's just my experience with m & p though. I've been doing it for about a year now. Someone else may have better info. HTH! Colleen Country Meadow Creations
Guest guest
Thanks for the advice. I let them sit all night, so I will play with them some more today. I used candy molds, and think that was my mistake. I might have to just dig them out. I won't do that again. Kathy
Guest guest
I have pushed those molds so hard that my fingers are ready to break. I have done a ton of M & P and never had this problem. I am wondering if it is because I used the candy molds, and because they are small. I think I am going to just dig them out and remelt what I can. It isn't worth all the aggrivation. Do you think if I spray them with pam that would help? Kathy
Guest guest
Kathy try and get some air up inbetween the soap and the mold. by squeezing the mold a little bit. ON clear molds you can sort of see it start to separate. Shaye Re: Re: Colleen Thanks for the advice. I let them sit all night, so I will play with them some more today. Guest guest
Kath, I use candy molds for my little guest soaps. They can be a pain, but if youlet themset a while, they will come out. Like Colleen, I typically let anything in my molds sit over night. But, if i can't wait, I will pop them in the freezer for 5 minutes then they pop out just fine. Sometimes i have to insert the edge of a very thin butter knife to give them some incentive. Also, I, personally, have found that different MP bases will release differently. The stuff I have gotten from Snowdrift Farms is an extremely tough release; soapwizards and Columbus Foods pop right out. G > Thanks for the advice. Guest guest
Colleen I have NO problem with smoking outside. I never smoke inside someone's house unless the owner smokes inside, too. It doesn't bother me at all and am not offended by it, believe me. I don't smoke that much anyway and don't even think about it when I'm busy. M Re: nne M wrote-"The only thing is, I'm a smoker"Thanks for reminding me of this ! While at my house I'd appreciate all smokers to use the great outdoors to have a smoke! I am very sensitive to the smell and we are non-smokers here. I don't have any problems with it, as long as it's done outside. Thanks All!ColleenCountry Meadow CreationsOur members maphttp://.homestead.com/locations.htmlOur Message Boardhttp://www.voy.com/21568/Special Invite for membershttp://soapwerks.com/martinrectangle.htmAll posts to this list are copyrighted by post author. Guest guest
Thanks, Colleen for the info on the f/o's you use with the cherubs. I've got a feeling that it is "Beach Breezes". It doesn't smeel like "Baby Powder" to me. It has more of a :sweetness smell to it, yet not fruity sweet, if that makes much sense. Also, the color of the soap is more on the light green side than on the light blue side. Putting those two things together, I put my money on "Beach Breezes." I think I'll go ahead and order some and surprise my daughter. Thanks again!! M re: M-cherubs Okay-it was (is) Baby Powder scented. (I do a light blue in that scent, the light green I do is Beach Breezes from Brambleberry.) I only dothose in 4 color/scent combos. I believe that fo came from WholesaleSupplies Plus. I had gotten a few different ones from differentsuppliers and I think that's the one I was using at that time.HTH!ColleenCountry Meadow CreationsOur members maphttp://.homestead.com/locations.htmlOur Message Boardhttp://www.voy.com/21568/Special Invite for membershttp://soapwerks.com/martinrectangle.htmAll posts to this list are copyrighted by post author. Guest guest
I figured it was the Beach Breezes too. I put down Baby Powder and then thought, well she would probably know that scent without me telling her. LOL! That's why I added the second. I'm glad we got that figured out for you. I'm sure your daughter will be thrilled! Colleen Country Meadow Creations

Guest guest
Good luck with your swap! Maybe something swirled, or layered, or chunky? Maybe try some unusual scent combos? I'm waiting for a swap box from another list I'm on now. We should be getting around 16-18 items back. That's gonna be like Christmas!!! I love swaps! Let us know what you come up with for yours! Guest guest
That apple crisp sounds really cool! You've got lots of great ideas. I really like combining scents and colors to see what I can come up with. Of course, it's getting people to understand that they can use the soap on their bodies, not just use it for decoration! That's where I find most of the stuff I've given my sister-prettying up her bathroom! Will let you all know what I get in the swap!
