I am from Ohio. I have been married for 15 years to a wonderful man

named Jim. I have a 6 year old son, Riley, who figure skates and plays

soccer. I have been overweight all of my adult life. I have been using the

food mover and have lost 85 pounds. I still have between 25 and 30 pounds to

go. I find myself in an interesting place now as I am finally comfortable in

my body and am having trouble staying motivated. I have now started over and

I will keep beating this horse until I am at goal.

Well, my name is . I currently weigh around 330 hopefully now around 300.

Someone told me the other night in Walmart that they could tell I was losing

weight. I liked to have kissed her. Ha, ha.

I want to weigh around 250 for beginners, and that would mean losing around 70

pounds! 70 sounds better than having to lose 100 or when actually doing it, it

is much harder than it sounds.

I have two beautiful children that GOD has given me, and all of my aches and

pains is un-called for! IM sick of being fat and uncomfortable. I drink lots

and lots of water. Im PMS'ing and once a month hormones tell me that I am

starving to death and I eat everthing in sight. ( I just now realized this this

month.) Well, I have had a couple of sodas (shame on me! Slapping my wrist

right now) I have tried to keep my snacks to popcorn only. But, I had a desert

awhile ago, and I am feeling very depressed over eating it.

I just have to pick myself up and dust my self off and start over even HARDER.

I can do this! With the grace of GOD on me and in my soul, I can shed this

unwanted 70 extra pounds! My mom told me that when I have successfully lost 70

pounds (my goal weight loss) that she will give me 400.00. My granny offered

me 100.00. And GOD is telling me that I can have LIFE.

Im not skipping any meals, as I think that is not good at all. I simply watch

what I eat. I am watching the sodium, cholesterol, and cals. I know I am going

to have slips ups and I would not be human if I didn't. I just need you all!

I am so happy that I found this group. I think it is the best group out there

today!

I also have the exercising tapes. I borrowed from my cousin.

Roll Call

I would like to have everyone reintro themselves. I am hoping this

will generate some chit chat from the lurkers.

Hi I'm n. Right now I am sort of an absentee member because I am

teaching 20 Japanese high school students for 3 weeks and I have one of them

staying with us as well. The lack of free time however is keeping me from

eating too much.

I have 3 great children and as of next month, I will have been married

18 years. I home school them, so my teaching assignment is only short term.

As soon as I finish it, I will start school with my own children.

When I started working on losing weight, I was at about 265 pounds.

Presently I weigh about 256. My goal is to get under 200 by the end of the

year. I've had some physical problems as a result of my weight that have

slowed me down a lot. I've been working with an acupuncturist for a few

months and I have had great results. I am only now coming to realize that I

am really a high energy person, I've just been trapped in a fat body.

Like someone else mentioned, I too have Polycystic ovaries. I haven't

decided whether it is common for overweight people to have PCOS or for

people who have PCOS to be overweight. I know when my weight is down

closer to 200, I don't have as many symptoms of PCOS.

I've had my ankle rebuilt twice, with one of the surgeries putting me in

a wheelchair for 6 months and I was just getting over that when I had a

re-occurrence of pain from the collapsed disc in my lower back. The

acupuncturist has helped immensely and I am now able to get back to square

dancing and other fun forms of exercise.

Well, I have to get to bed so I can get up and teach tomorrow.

Blessings and prayers,

n

Hello All! This is Queenie and I haven't been online much for various

reasons. I have way over 100lbs to lose; and have lost a lot so far. I eat 3

smaller meals a day and try to get in 2 snacks a day as well to keep my body

properly fueled. I do aerobic breathing for my main daily exercise and have

lost many many inches from that program.

Have a great one!

I'm . I am a SAHM to my 3 boys. -11, Lucas-almost 4, and -1. I

am currently living in England, and will be here for another 5 yrs. My hubby is

US Military, we have been married 11 yrs in Aug.

I have at least 100lbs to lose. I try to take it in small increments (5-10lbs at

a time). I am re-gaining my motivation to be healthier, so things are going

fairly well for me lately.

Looking forward to hearing from the rest of the list.

Great job on losing the 85 lbs, . I can see where your motivation might

be a bit lax right now. Hope you pick it up soon.

I'm Glad you let it all out Sue... It does fester up inside and you have to

start saying something or you feel like you will explode :o( I'm so sorry

that you are still going through this, the courts take thier gay ole time

don't they :o(

Now that school is back in session, it will give you a little breather

hopefully... Just clean a little at a time and you will be surprised how much

gets done... It takes longer, but oh well, at least its done good when you

are done...

My Prayers will be with you and your grand daughter... I will Pray that the

Best for her will happen!!!

Take care, post when you can...

Love and Hugs

Roll Call

Could we have a little roll call here. Name, date of surgery,

surgeon and your start weight/current weight/goal weight. I am

trying to put some stats together for the Kirkland docs about how

well we've done here in the PNW and I don't have current numbers for

many of you. (I am primarily interested in the people I see

clinically). If you don't want to be included just don't reply.

Your name will NOT be used. Just your numbers. Thanks in advance.

Jessie,

Are you a nurse? I saw from your post that you are seeing folks clinically and

was curious about that.

I would love to find someone besides Dr. Fox's office to go to for fills, etc.

You can use me if you like also (my surgery was in April of 2000 with Dr.

Rumbaut in Mexico. My starting weight was 298 and I dropped to 146 but I was

interrupted and am now 5 months pregnant...)

I am hoping that after the baby comes in February I'll be able to get a fill and

get back where to goal... =)
