Guest guest
That is as bad as when we adopted our oldest son from Chile. When we brought him home at 7 weeks old I actually had people ask me how I was going to understand him because my husband , and I didn't speak spanish. ROTFLOL. NOT. wow....ok, being from Kansas, my dad had people actually ask him (when he'd be away on a business trip back in the late 70's) if we ride horses to the saloon. lol. HI Kent Heck no we are not racists lol we only discriminate against men with long hair who love the Dead heads and eat no meat lololol Seriously IMHO there is racism every where, southern are just more out spoken about it lol. I lived 18 yrs in the North (WI) and now ahhhhhhhhh 22 yrs or more in the South, so Ive seen it everywhere. Affirmative action angers many here since Memphis is now 89 percent African-American and if you speak against affirmative action you will get called a racist. I am a listener and it sometimes shocks me on what folks say, heard the other day some folks saying that if you vote the republican ticket you must be a racist, if you vote the democratic ticket, you must not be a Christian. Im just me like it or not heehee Kathy mom to Sara 10...........who is very comfortable with her own identity

Or the ablitly to not see or whatever. LOL Nothing like having people accuse the repbulicons of racism when without them none of the affirmative action type of things would have ever gotten out of congress in the 60's. Yes at that time many of the southern demorats were actually klan members and big time racists and wouldn't and didn't vote for those laws. I rarely watch the snooze on tv anymore just to boring, much easier to find and get a more complete story online, plus you can dig deeper and see who might be 'streching' the facts or ignoring important parts. LOL haveing said that, as you know I'm in MN, mostly an area of europeon ancestry, my nephew is coming up here from AZ to go to school, mostly because he basically gets a free ride ( at a privat college so we are talking about some pretty good $$ here) ............all based on his 'minority' status in the SW he's not concidered a minority, here he is. LOL will be nice to maybe see him during his breaks when he can't go home. joy
Guest guest
That is too hilarious!! Do people ever think before they say anything?? I wonder if it ocurred to her later that she had said that. Guest guest
That stereotype is something that we also have to live with daily. There are a few racists left but most people are fairly tolerant of ALL people (except fat ones) here in the south. I am a Democrat too and understand how that works as well Kathy. We are a REAL minority in the south. Guest guest
All those " Dixiecrats " are now Republicans and still clan members. The clan is making a comeback in a little town where my daughter went to college. The parking lot of the Catholic church was away from the church so that people would not be harmed if they went to mass. Guest guest
A big change from when the South and Border States were solidly Democratic. We all look at things differently. I am running for office as a Republican in a county in Mo. which has been staunchly Democratic since the Civil War (Federal troops burned us to the ground in 1863) but I am more " liberal " than most of the Democrats around here. A lot of my fellow Republicans find me too moderate and my Democrat friends find me too partisan Republican. I like to remind them all I am from the party of Lincoln (who freed the slaves), Teddy Roosevelt (who had Booker T. Washington for dinner at the White House), Dwight Eisenhower (who let his black and white troops fight together in WWII and who signed the first Civil Rights Bill in 1957), Nixon (who even though had a bad mouth on those tapes) had his Justice Dept. enforce busing for racial balance, and Reagan (who gave us a national holiday honoring Luther King, Jr.) Dad to , , Kristi (all three Ds) and (Cri du chat) Husband to C. P.S.: Republicans Gerald Ford and Bush (the first one) also signed into law the first civil rights acts for the handicapped Re: Discrimination > > > > In a message dated 6/20/2002 8:20:37 AM Central Standard Time, > > Knm@... writes: > > > > > > > I wouldn't discriminate against someone from the South but it does throw > up > > > a caution flag for me simply because racism is such an odious thing to > me > > > and the South's history of oppressing African-Americans is well known to > me > > > (oppression of African - Americans and other minorities of course also > > > occurs in the North and Western parts of the U. Guest guest
Also, men do not have a vagina (at least not most). Bacterial Vaginosis, which is commonly caused by E coli amongst others, can cause a discharge. This is a very common condition, found in 10 to 64% of women at any given time. The discharge can easily become mixed with urine and, voila, ETG! In 2005, prior to my 2 positives (700 and 1400), I found out that I had BV through a Pap smear. At first I thought the positives were caused by chocolate brownies, then a vaginal gel I was using (Metrogel), then by the yeast infection I got from the Metrogel and/or the treatment for that. Now I wonder if it was caused by the E coli, or a combination of all the above. It makes me dizzy, cause I'll never know nor convince THEM. Guest guest
I couldn't agree with you more. When I called Gloria Allred's office (the attorney) her paralegal said this was more an issue for civil rights and referred me to the equal opportunities department for the state.
