This is not really a very big change. your HDL/LDH ratio is very good. I

wouldn't worry about this lab. Not bad. Your triglyceride level dropped. Your

total cholesterol is only a fraction of the reading. Just keep doing what you

are doing and stick to the plan. It will all level out.

I am O+ secreter status unknown. I do all of what I thought were the good

occaisional slip and have a hersheys bar, with almonds, of course. Other than

that, drink only water and green tea. Well, today, I got a shock! My initial

blood work showed the following:

1st reading today

Cholesterol 214 231

tryglycerides 81 67

HDL 62 63

LDL 135 154

Where did I go wrong????? Could it be the flax seed oil??

All the other values, even my thryoid, are within range. Any help sure will be

appreciated.

I recently had the CRP done and it was 5 also. That was before starting the

BTD. I had it redrawn 2 weeks ago after being on the diet for a month, so will

be interested in knowing what the results are.

Claudine is right...it's the anticipation and fear before the procedure that are

the bad part. I found that the numbing shots stung but didn't feel the biopsy.

But if you are really stressed, ask your doctor for pre-medication...

HI again. The reason they want you to stay a couple of hours is to make sure no

internal-liver -bleeding occurs.So don.t get stressed about this it.s just a

formality that.s part of the piece of cake. After that you can go about your

daily routine.Willem.

Re: test results

That is it. Everything seems to be in the normal range except white

blood cell count-3.9-low...ALT-53-high...INR-1.1-low.

Do this tell you anything?

Also, are you restricted after the biopsy? I work in a school snack

bar on Fri (test is Thur) and I was wondering if I will be able to

work?

Thanks.

<><TammieD><>

ps. It say HCV QuantaSure Plus 177,000. Is this the same thing as the

HCV RNA?

As a point of reference, when I had my biopsy, I was working in

technology...lifting and moving computer components was always a part of my

daily routine. My doctor had me stay out of work for a week because of the

nature of my work.

As for working, you will have to be the judge of that! The risk would

be bleeding from the puncture site. It probably depends more on how

you do after the biopsy, and how strenuous the work is.

Take a book to read for lying around. I lay there an hour and then was released.

Drove myself to Mcs then home. Went to work the next day. No tenderness or

anything. Easier than going to the dentist!

Course, I didn't do any heavy lifting, no soccer, no jogging, nothing strenuous,

I even used it to get out of washing dishes that night hahaha. Hey, hubby

believed it!

That is great news, that he doesn't have Crohns ! My ex-brother in law

Not sure what the next step will be. He goes to the rheumy in July for a

check up so I figure I will ask him then what he suggests. did not

take the upper GI so perhaps the dr will insist to on that one. He

thinks he has lost some more weight. When he weighed himself last he was

142. We will see what he weighs at the dr visit. Right now that is the

only thing going on that made the drs think of Crohn's. Luckily he has

none of the other symptoms. I am starting to wonder if it could be some

sort of malabsorbtion(sp?) problem or maybe he is just getting taller

and that is making it hard for him to put on weight. Right now, it seems

to be a bit of a waiting game. His blood work is always coming back

good, so most of the time I feel like a worry wart. I try not to be, I

just want to make sure what he weighs is ok for him. Thanks for asking,

Michele (17, pauci & spondy)

Hi ,

If your results posted here are correct (please double check),

then I believe you have severe hyperthyroidism. This is

according to your Free T4. Although I've never seen Free T4

that high, in the hundreds! My Free T4 was in the 12s (It's

now in the 4s and probably lower). My endocrinologist said

that 12 is high and rare... so 128 seems extremely high!

Your protruding eyes and swollen thyroid confirms your

rather high T4s! From September results, your conditioned

has worsened quite rapidly.

Your Free T3 seems in normal range however. I was not

tested for this so I can't make references or comparisons,

perhaps someone here can give their opinions.

Go to this link to understand the breakup of T3s and T4s

in your thyroid hormone makeup.

http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/t4/sample.html

And some help in reading your results here:

http://www.amarillomed.com/howto.htm

I'm not sure what 3rd Generation TSH means. Does this

mean that it's the 3rd time you've tested for this?

You have 0.47 which means your pituitary gland still

produces a trickle of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone.

Because of your extremely high Free T4s, it should

have been shut off completely.

Having such a high T4 number probably means that

you're extremely how in energy, your heart must

beat very rapidly! Please confirm your heart pressure

and pulse and how you feel.

I'd suggest that you get an explaination of your

results from several different doctors. Keep all records

of your test results as you will need them to monitor

your situation.

What are you doing right now? What are you taking?

Stay away from all caffeine, soy, cold drinks at the

moment.

Are you sure free T4 is 128, not 1.28? The latter would be normal as

everything else (T3, FT3, TSH) is...
