My perspective is different. If one puts cayenne into cool water,

any bacteria or yeast on the cayenne will begin to multiply and

proliferate. Most of the cayenne remains in the cayenne powder, so

when drinking the cayenne and water, the concentrated cayenne is still

in the cayenne sludge, which can coat the throat causing a burning

feeling. Drinking the potent cayenne granules casn also be rough on

the gut.

By boiling the tea, one gets rid of any organisms which migt be there.

Much of the cayenne is extracted into the water, so the sluge won't

burn one's throat, or one's stomach. Tea can be drunk after

refrigeration if cool tea is preferred.

Hi Zoe:

I did try it for about a month and every night I had to take something to sleep,

not good.

Bonnie

Re: Cayenne

Hon, Im thinking that is a temporary reaction. The cayenne is one of the most

important things you can do for your body, especially if you have heart disease

or even the symptoms. Strongly suggest you try it again, and give it a chance to

finish detoxing your body. Im sure the sleeplessness will go away in time. I use

it a lot and no longer find that it keeps me awake.

Alobar- I didn't realize you were actually boiling it. Sounds like a

good idea. I'll have to give that a try.

For years I was told to never boil tea. Then when I started learning

about making kombucha, I found out that one boiled the tea to get

more into solution. It just seemed natural to make cayenne tea this

way.

I have just been pouring boiling water onto the mug with the powdered cayenne

and when I get near the bottom just swish it around and down.

Cayenne is a dried vegetable. If you cook any veg (esp for as long as 5-

10 mins)it kills a lot of the good stuff in it because heat does kill.

Thats why juicing works so much better,as the raw diet shows. And even

then you are better of using a twin gear or something like that as it

uses low speed to get a lot less heat...or even a hydraulic press as

that is super low heat.

As for making kombucha, the tea is made ...before... putting it in with

the 'mother',not after as this would kill a lot of what the fungas has

done. Its the same as coconut oil being made with or without heat, and

why the absolute no heat is so much better for you than one that has

been treated with heat.

Tea is a differant thing than a veg as its designed to be heated to

get the goodies out of it. But i wonder ,is this true ? Just because

this is the way its always been with tea, that doesnt mean that tea

leaves couldnt be juiced and that juice put into making kombucha and

maybe get better results than from boiled tea leaves. Tea was designed

this way so that it could be transported from a warm climate to a cold

one. Just because tea has always been like this doesnt mean if someone

tried, that you could get more out of tea leaves just by juicing and

putting that in with the kombucha. That might be a good thing to try !

I would rather not have to deal with the heat from cayenne when

swallowing, but if that is what has to be done then " gulp " ,thats how it

has to be. For the sake of 60 seconds discomfort, its worth it.

What I have found to be a unique way to minimize the burn-afterburn of cayenne

is to mix it with blended water and meat from a young coconut. First I blend

the total contents of a chilled young coconut,(no additional dilution). Pour

about i/3 to 1/2 of it into glass. To this I add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

Mix thoroughly with spoon and sip while on the computer. In fact I am working on

one right now. After it is finished pour remainder from blender and rinse

blender with CS (10ppm), ad to glass and sip on it . Getting everything at once.

I have a question. Is there any nutritional advantage or detriment to adding

powdered/finely ground green tea to smoothies/cold drinks over mixing the powder

or using the tea leaves as is traditionally done. I would like as many opinions

as I can get. I do this quite frequently. I have also tried putting fresh used

green tea leaves into smoothies.

better now, might need surgery but hes a stubborn ol' bird but thats why

we love him. I just been tossin this idea in my head for sometime and

going to see if it works. If it can take down a swarm of rioters why not

a swarm of mites?

Thanks for the heads up. The next mite riot I start will be around

you for backup...lol. One of us would need to be rolled in cayenne

and used as a mite bat. I vote for you. I had to have a heart valve

repaired last year so what they can do now is incredible. If he does

need the surgery he will probably be way better afterwards. bob

Might want to close the heat/air vents in the room before trying

this, if you have a forced air system, to keep it from wafting into

the rest of the house...

How is Grandpa? You are all in my heart & prayers - Grandpa's parrot,

I been reading up on it and the uses for fungal and parasites. Then i

can

Its an old craftsman house grandpa built for my grandma. No heating or

ac. Old school wood and insulation. Hes a jack of all trades,

construction worker for 50 some years never missed a day, so he doesnt

know when to sit still. But hes been doing fairly well, getting used to

the new diet. He loves his steaks, but now its just greens and fish.

Thanks for asking sue. This and his health is constantly on my mind.

Been thinkin Adam, shock I know, that powdered cayenne is not such a

great idea to spread around. It makes me cough in the bath a little,

so I think it would be very irratating to your lungs. It might even

make your home inhabitable. In a spray or make hot pepper vingar to

spray around might be a better idea. And always use a mask, if it

gets in your lungs...I read someone got rid of these for eating as

much fresh hot peppers as she could for a week. She said the side

effects wwere terrible but it worked. I've been thinking of trying to

eat hot spicy meals, for every meal, over the next couple of weeks,

with my spicy baths. I want to make my pores omit HOT, spicy sweat

(at least something would be spicy and hot since my lovelife is

NOT!) .

Whatever you do, pls don't use those pepper sprays meant to disable

attackers. Here's my pepper spray story from 10 years ago. A bunch

of interns (me being one of them) and I went to Red Lobster and were

waiting in the front to get seated. One intern had a small can of

pepper spray attached to her key chain and another one started

playing with it. She then did one quick squirt. Within minutes,

the entire restaurant was coughing and everyone had to go outside.

It's that potent. After getting chewed out by the store and being

threatened with a lawsuit from a mother with an asthmatic baby, we

went home happy, our bellies full of all-you-can-eat Alaskan snow

crabs.

Thats funny. I have been eating a lot of spicy food lately. Not every meal though. Ulcers can be brutal and defiantly an effect of eating to many hot hot peppers. Maybe one spicy meal a day and Cinnamon or all spice in teas and cereals. From: miteyman <miteyman@...>Subject: Re: Cayennebird mites Date: Thursday, November 13, 2008, 11:55 AM

Hi Bee, I have heard you say that anything that is not meat and fat feeds

candida. Is this true as well for cayenne pepper with all its hotness?

> Hi Bee, I have heard you say that anything that is not meat and fat feeds

candida. Is this true as well for cayenne pepper with all its hotness?

+++Hi . Meats and fats also feed candida, but to a much lesser degree than

carbs (any foods not classified as protein or fat). There are high carb foods

and varying degrees of carb content (sugars) in carbs. All spices are okay on

the candida diet, but some are higher in sugar than others. However, since we

only use small amounts they won't cause a lot of problem for curing your

candida. Cayenne pepper is low in carbs/sugars so it isn't a problem for sure.

It is impractical to eliminate all carb foods and it isn't necessary anyway.

This program mainly provides " proper nutrients " which your body requires so it

can heal itself, and eating low carb foods and no sugars, and eliminating toxins

and damaging foods are important for anyone's health.
