Guest guest
HI What about if I get the fresh peppers, I have a few different types we have grown. About how many a day might one eat to be equal to 1 teas of powder. Thanks Calvin Cayenne is much more than a simple remedy.A group of researchers kept heart tissue alive & growing in a dish by feeding only cayenne. A google search will produce much. If bought by the pound and taken by the teaspoon in water the cost is minimal. If it scorches your puckering string just think what it can do for hemroids. Happy days, Bubba ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! Join Juno today! Guest guest
I don't know Calvin but since one should take 2 or 3 teaspoons of the dried cayenne powder per day I guess you can eat just about all the fresh peppers you can tolerate. Capsules also prevent people from getting a reaction in their mouths, which was what Nature intended. Another great reason not to take cayenne in capsules is that they can make you real sick. They won't cause permanent damage but you can suffer greatly. Capsules can give you a stomach cramp that will double you over. When you put cayenne in your mouth, your stomach secretes digestive juices before the cayenne ever gets there. So when the cayenne gets down there, your stomach is all ready for it. But if you swallow a capsule, your tongue tastes nothing, a capsule goes down in your stomach, and your stomach notices nothing - - at first. Then, five minutes later the gelatin bursts, and you have a 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in your stomach and your body goes into shock. You surprised it. " Where did this come from? Guest guest
Yeah I do that. I get the crushed red peppers and grind them up in a coffe grinder and put it in capsules, works real good. You get all warm inside for a while. I can do one or two a day only or it starts to burn on the way out. V Have you considered capsules of cayenne? There are several products out there that offer with and without the other ingredients. This way you don't fry the tissues of your mouth and throat. Taking the capsules makes me think of the Warner Bros. cartoon where some character is unfortunate enough to swallow a hand grenade and we see them balloon out along with a muted explosion. You just blow a few smoke rings and go on about your business.
Guest guest
Hi , Well, according to Dr. Schulze much of the healing action occurs right in your mouth. He says as the cayenne touches your tongue, the cayenne absorbs in seconds and nerve endings send signals throughout the body sending waves of fresh blood to wherever you are sick. New healing begins in seconds. These surges of fresh blood do not occur when you bypass the mouth by taking capsules. That's according to him anyway. I don't know. I've heard of people taking the capsules and feeling better on them. But I've also heard the tincture or powder is the better way to go. Guest guest
>>as I understand it Cayenne and other herbs actually REDUCE core body temperature. Its a misunderstanding that they raise body temperature. I took cayenne for a week and my oral temperature went up (normalized). I have the Tierra book too. It says that since cayenne opens the pores that body heat is lost and that people who are colder should use small amounts. It says that ginger heats the inside of the body without loss of body heat. Guest guest
Hi Gail! I'm an Herbalist and Cayenne Pepper is one of my TOP 5 Herbs, that I've used for over 30 years (I'm 61). Cayenne Pepper is a Blood Pressure Equalizer and although it HELPS to THIN-OUT the Blood, it doesn't act on the Blood in the SAME manner, that the Drug, Warfarin, does, for instance. Salicin (natural aspirin compound) in White Willow Bark is a TRUE Blood Thinner. Anyhow, it's NOT a GOOD Therapy to MIX Drugs and Herbs together. When a Person is ILL, he/she is NOT DEFICIENT in INORGANIC/DEAD Mineral Compounds, which Drugs provide and with which his/her Liver has a HARD time handling! This information is so important because we often think something is safe (and by itself it might very well be) just to find out, when combined with some medication one is on, it is unsafe. On another list somebody also responded that according to Fectrow, Herbal Medicine, you shouldn't take it with when taking certain blood pressure medicaiton. Do you know what combinding cayenne with blood pressure, cholesterol, & blood thinners would do? Guess we'll have to pass on the cayenne for the moment, but it sure sounded promising. Guest guest
Gail, Hi again! NO, I don't and I wouldn't want ANYONE to try it! Cayenne Pepper is a Blood Pressure Equalizer. It will RESTORE Blood Pressure, if you or someone else has a CUT and/or RUPTURED Blood Vessel internally and/or externally. I've read that the Native Americans and Mexicans for Centuries have used Cayenne Pepper for Cuts, Wounds and Injuries, involving Blood Loss. I've read about Midwives in the Mediterranean Area and I've spoke with some Midwives in this Country, who SAVE the Lives of Mothers, using Cayenne Pepper to STOP MASSIVE Bleeding that occurs, when a Baby, who is LARGER-than- normal, TEARS OPEN the Mother Vaginal Area!! I've experienced FIRSTHAND, what Cayenne Pepper can do, when Bleeding occurs. I used Cayenne Pepper, when I had Bleeding Ulcers 30+ years ago and HEALED them, and since then, when I've had SERIOUS Cuts/Wounds and HEALED them with LITTLE or NO Scar Tissue!! I had used Cayenne Pepper in either FRESH, Powder or Tincture Form and the Bleeding STOPPED in LESS than a Minute!! IT'S DEFINITELY A LIFE- SAVER!! http://healingtools.tripod.com/cayemerg.html Aren't you willing NOW to try this POWERFUL Herb, Clinical Cayenne Pepper (90,000+ Heat Units), after knowing what it's ABLE to do?? Guest guest
I take a whole bunch of medicines for blood pressure and related stuff. I combined my cayenne pepper with a large bottle of mixed spices that usually are used for flavor. I could taste the pepper heat and suffered no uncontroleable problems. If it worries you just try a little of the pepper gradually increasing it to taste and watch the effects on your pressure. If it does not go bad then you should be safe. Guest guest
Hi again, Gail! I'm SORRY; I MISUNDERSTOOD you! I know that the AMA, FDA and Pharmaceutical Firms don't want People taking Herbs, since they are LOSING MANY Millions of Dollars in Revenue, if they don't say some things to DISCOURAGE People. But even then, I'd rather spend my Time, studying the BENEFITS of GOD's Healing Plants, the Herbs, than the SIDE-EFFECTS and CONTRAINDICATIONS of Drugs, plus their INTERACTIONS with Herbs! Anyhow, when it gets down to it, I'd be guessing, and so I'm REALLY NOT the Person to answer your Question. I'll look at Sam Biser's and Dr. Schulze's Information about Cayenne Pepper again and if I come across the Answer, I'll post it. " THANKS " for your reply post! If you are, how many Heat Units is the Cayenne Pepper, that you're using? If you're NOT taking Clinical Cayenne Pepper, you could get by with the Method, that you're taking it. Dr. Schulze has seen MANY MIRACULOUS Healing Results with People, who take Cayenne Pepper, that has EXTREMELY HIGH Heat Units (300,000+). When you're taking this Clinical Cayenne Pepper, the Herbal Medicinal Action is going to be MUCH STRONGER, than taking Cayenne Pepper, which has MUCH LOWER Amounts of Heat Units and so it's going interact DIFFERENTLY with Drugs!! Guest guest
Hi ! I've used Honey for Burns also and in fact it's in my TOTAL HEALTH Newsletter March 1999 Vol. 2 No. 3 NATURAL EMERGENCY THERAPY: Part 3 - Burn Healing (see below). http://healingtools.tripod.com/thn2_3.html The MAIN Constituent in Cayenne Pepper, that does the work, is Oleoresin Capsicum, and the Honey, because of it's MUCH HIGHER Viscosity, probably would NOT allow this Oleoresin to work (?). The Cayenne Pepper at the Grocery Store is probably 50,000 Heat Units, if it's that, and that means that it's NOT Clinical Cayenne Pepper!
