Sounds like all that's left is that the symptoms are all part of the healing process. I'll be starting myself next week after a week business trip but I've scheduled my yearly exam a couple months off, going to see how my cholesterol and other health indicators are impacted by the eating plan. - Roy

Your cholesterol will increase for awhile after you start on this program, since it increases when the body is detoxifying. Bee
Guest guest
- this sounds as if you have one of the associated conditions that go along with being hypothyroid that stop your thyroid hormones from doing the job they should. The main one that does this is if you have adrenal insufficiency. You need to get the 24 hour salivary adrenal test done through Genova Diagnostics www.gdx.uk.net . This tests your cortisol and DHEA output at four specific times during the day. Another condition is systemic candidiasis. Either of these would need to be treated before any more increases, because unless you do get treatment, you will continue to experience these problems. other conditions that can cause this are mineral, vitamin deficiencies so ask your GP for the following tests. Ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, copper, zinc and folate. Once you have the results, send them too us, together with the reference ranges for each test. Also, ask your GP to test your oestrogen and progesterone levels. Meanwhile, this strange heart beat may well be helped by taking 250 mgs Magnesium. Also, if you have high oestrogen, it might be helped by supplementing with progesterone to balance the hormones. Have you tried splitting your dose of Armour several times a day - that could help you too. luv - Sheila I increased from 2.5 grains NatureThroid to 3 grains last Saturday (after being on 2.5 grains for 4 weeks). On Wednesday morning, I started to get palpitations: my heart seems to skip a beat and I feel a twinge, then the next beat is like a thump. I've had no other hyper symptoms. I'd already taken 1 grain of NT that morning, so I didn't take any more that day, or since, but I still have the palps. Initially this was happening about once every minute or two. Now it's much less frequent, but is still happening at intervals. I've been to see the Nurse Practitioner this morning (couldn't get in to see my lovely GP who is happy for me to be taking NT). She said I should have a thyroid blood test and ECG so these have been arranged for next Tuesday. She took my blood pressure and pulse - both very good, and listened to my heart - she said it was beating strong and regular. Of course, I didn't get a palp while she was listening. Typical. In the meantime, what should I do? Should I stay off the NT completely? I feel inclined to do this until the palps have stopped, but at the same time, I am concerned that I will go back downhill quickly. I'd be grateful for any advice that anyone can offer. Many thanks No virus found in this incoming message.
