Hi Jon and Carol and all,

I use the supplements from Dr Burt Berkson in New Mexico. There is lots of info on him on the internet.

www.Berkson_Lipoic_Final

www.Berkson%20clinical20%studywww.youtube.com type in LDN conference 2009 Dr Berkson and you can see some lectures by him.

The only herb I take is milk thistle. I do take alpha lipoic acid, selenium as well. His protocol is 300 mg ALA, 200mg selenium, 600-900 mg milk thistle twice daily. You will need a B-100, extra B-12 and a good daily vitamin without iron. I am not currently on LDN. I do take D3 and CoQ 10 as well.

Supplements do NOT cure Hep C. They are designed to heal and protect the liver from the damage of the Hep C virus and other liver problems. Neither are they designed to be used with treatment. It is my belief that taking these simple supps will help the liver--before treating, if you fail treatment and after treatment. I, personally, have chosen not to treat due to age (76) and slow progression of my Hep C. Of course, I do not drink alcohol and haven't for many years. Watching your sugar intake is also important.

I don't know much about other herbs, etc as I have chosen to follow Dr Berkson's regimen. Do be careful as some can harm the liver. If you look at the links I provided you will see that he is a well respected doctor. Liver disease is his speciality.

If you have questions--just ask.
