Subject: Nystatin & Lamisil for Yeast Inf.

Hi all,

I went to my doctor today for a yeast infection and she suggested a new

approach. She prescribed Nystatin cream to apply to the external areas of the

vagina. She also prescribed Lamisil and said to take one pill every day for up

to 7 days but she said that I may see improvement within 2-3 days and not need

to take the entire 7 day course.

Has anyone had any experience using either of these medications to treat a yeast

infection?

Thank you!

apparently its an antifungal medication that is very much like Diflucan and

might be taking over as a medicine for yeast infections.

It may work. Follow your Dr treatment. My wife was lucky using Terconazole cream

for 3 days and 2 Fluconazol 150 mg tablets. Most of these treatment work

temporary but no in every case. It all depend how deep your candida problems

are. Never hear of Lamisil to treat vaginal candidiasis.

Good Luck,

I've taken Nystatin in the past when my candida was at it's worse and it

worked fine......remember though, the longer you take those kinds of yeast

treatments, the more you are stripping your insides of good bacteria also,

so make sure you take a good probiotic also, and only stay on them till you

feel the relief, no longer.....
