Guest guest
I was having a really bad depressive craving today and ended up eating like 4 " suger free " blueberry yogurts splenda of course.. I know it was horrible of me and I'm kicking myself for it. But just wondering how bad that really is when I've been doing good for a couple weeks now on the Candida diet. Guest guest
I dont think that sounds like something too bad to me. Some of the worst cheats for me have actually been (believe it or not) sausages, due to not only added sugar, but nitrates and of course wheat/gluten. I think some of the worst things for a candida sufferer are the foods that not only feed candida directly but gluten, which many are intolerant too and mucks up the gut worse. I have to watch myself with potatoe chips as well. Another cheat of mine that I yield to every now and again with quite disasterous results. I wouldn't kick yourself too much, just get back on track. i doubt that cheat will have spoiled everything. I remember when I went on this diet and got die off and got better after a few weeks. Well idiot here cheated one night with chocolate and had to start from scratch. took ANOTHER few weeks to begin healing. So yeah some cheats do much more damage than others and I guess it depends how much healing you have done already to how much you can handle and how fast you can recover from a cheat. > I was having a really bad depressive craving today and ended up eating > like 4 " suger free " blueberry yogurts splenda of course.. It is sweet, and it is supposed to be anti-microbial. Have good quality xylitol on hand. At least, that is what I read that it is okay for you. It is easy to violate the diet. I am trying my best not to. I have so far observed mine for almost two weeks. I want to see how it will be in three weeks. It is easy to fall back when you see some progress. You sometimes feel deprived if you can't eat certain things. We have to deal with this on a psychological level, this feeling that there is something messed up about us if we can't eat like " normal " people. I understand what you're going through, man. Guest guest
That's ok. I broke down and ate a cheeseburger and 6 cookies last night. Much worse than what you did. I'm just going to get back on the wagon today and do my best. a " The good Lord gave you a body that can stand almost anything. It's your mind you have convince. Guest guest
Sugar free yogurt often contains starch as a thickener; it's better to get the plain all natural yogurt and flavour it yourself.
