Guest guest
I had muscle pain in my legs until I adjusted my magnesium intake. I cannot metabolize calcium, so do not take a supplement. I try to get it through vegetables, spinach, broccoli, etc. My doctor (former orthopedic surgeon) told me that I do not need a calcium supplement. I have read that calcium is needed to help thyroid function. I have a pain in my right side around my hip toward the colon that has been there for years. I was told that it was where the yeast holds up. I do not have the pain in the daytime, only at night. It could be that the yeast fighters that I take all day relieve the pain. Guest guest
Thing about B12 is only 1% of cyanocobalamin is converted to methylcobalamin, the active form, in the liver. Other thing is it also drops off cyanide molecules Methylcobalamin can be had in sublingual lozenges tho'. Duncan > > Good to know its the B12, I'll make sure to never run out of it again! Guest guest
Bonnie, the candida antibodies test will read positive for almost anyone with a bowel candida fluorish; all it means is at some point the candida breached the body's defenses and was recognized as " not self " . Gosh, that could be 80% of the population; at least my doctor tossed out that number. Yes, but as I read the list of what your diet is like, you might consider whether you are having the muscle pain as a more direct result of high carb intake, perhaps totally aside from its effect on candida. I am currently eating a diet not as high in carbs/sugar as yours, but close, and am having tight muscles, aches and pains. Makes it darn difficult to go up and downstairs. I need to get my diet back to serious low carb, and am trying, but keep relapsing. Eventually the cravings get me. Not sure why, but I never lose the carb/sugar cravings, no matter how strict low carb I go, and no matter for how long I stay strict low carb. Craving intensity does vary, but I never, ever lose them, eventually give in, and there I am, back on the roller coaster. sol
Guest guest
What I find helps keep me on track are a few things: - Chromium supplements (without these I get serious sugar cravings) - Lots of fat and meat at regular intervals - Always having appropriate food available at all times - Good general vitamin supplementation Hope that helps... Guest guest
I never lost these muscle pains even when I was off all sugar/carbs. This has been going on for over 20 years now, steadily. I distinctly remember getting a twinge in my back when I was lifting weights 12 years ago, so stopped doing the specific exercise that did that. I also was getting " twangs " in my neck that ran up behind my ear. I had my ears checked out, and had my wisdom teeth removed thinking that was what was causing the pain running up behind my ear. Nope, its all from tight muscles. And that was in, hmmmm, around 1987 ??? Best, http://www.ChestnutHillDesigns.com http://shellyct.blogspot.com/ Life is as dear to the mute creature as it is to man. Guest guest
I keep having to stop vitamin and mineral supplements. I probably am off them far more than I take them. For years I've been trying to isolate which one(s) set off itching that becomes eczema if I don't stop them, but I simply cannot find it, no matter how many labels I read, or how much " elimination " I do. So I've started simply taking everything, and when itching starts, stop everthing until it subsides. Not ideal, but since I cannot isolate what the trigger is, the best I can do. I suspect it is either a combination, or an accumulation of one of the fillers. Because so many supplements, particularly combination ones contain one of my major allergens, I do have to take every one separately, which is a great number of separate pills and capsules. sol Debby Padilla-Hudson wrote: > What I find helps keep me on track are a few things: > > - Chromium supplements (without these I get serious sugar cravings) > - Lots of fat and meat at regular intervals > - Always having appropriate food available at all times > - Good general vitamin supplementation > >
Guest guest
I get the pain up behind and around my ear. Nearly always on the left side. I'm certain all my leg pains are due to contracted tight muscles. When I had horrible knee pain for over a year I had x-rays and even an MRI and nothing was found to account for it in the bones, and no tears in ligaments. I used to lift weights too, and walk for miles and miles. Those days are 20 years behind me. sol Ives wrote: > I distinctly remember > getting a twinge in my back when I was lifting weights 12 years ago, so > stopped doing the specific exercise that did that. Guest guest
I have had to stop taking everything as well Sol, as I suffer from constipation and now don't go *at all*! I've stopped the whey because I started giving it to my husband thinking it would be beneficial to his immune system and musculature, but he too has started with constipation which is something he has *never* suffered with in his life! I also take minerals and vitamins etc., so am leaving the whole lot off in an attempt to see what is causing this problem, and then maybe start up one at a time. Guest guest
Yes I was Kathy, (fibromyalgia, or 'mystery nerve pain' as my doc said) but for some reason and maybe due to one or other of all the different things I was taking, it has gone! I have a strong feeling that it is due to the herpes virus though, and the l-lysine I was taking may have eradicated it. Hope so, but every time I get a 'stabbing' pain anywhere, I take the l-lysine and it goes. Dee -- Re: Re: Chronic muscle pain ???
