Did you know that:

*about 5 million people in the U.S. have Hepatitis C?

*less than 1/3 even know they have it?

*the liver is a non-complaining organ so you could have liver cirrhosis and not even know it?

*there is not a vaccine for Hepatitis C?

*it is transmitted blood to blood and most everyone has some type of risk factor?

*it can live outside the body for up to 4 days? It has been transmitted in hospitals, pain clinics, MD offices, dental offices, tattoo parlors, beauty and barber shops, endoscopy centers, cancer centers, kidney dialysis units, reuse of multi-dose vials and tubing, IV or intranasal drug use – even once 40 years ago, blood transfusion before 1992 etc. Any place a blood to blood transmission might occur

*Hepatitis C is almost five times more prevalent than HIV?
