Guest guest
pain with tingling/numbness in BOTH fingers/toes!!! I'm 59 and have had some back pain and chiro adjust over past 20 years, but hasn't been much of problem....til now with my NECK!! In late 80's, xray showed osteophyte deposits in cervical area and 3 yrs ago disk degeneration in xray. Chiro thought I had to be in pain in neck, but wasn't(only lots of grinding//popping of neck when stiff. BUT....2 bweeks ago after working out(been doing for 13 yrs now), I tried " free weight " (dumbells)for 25lbs each hand alternating for 12 reps....did this for 3 days.....noticed a week ago awakened at night.....numbness in fingers of both hands///intermittant all night long///still does it. The PAIN is in BOTH sides of neck and around " hump " of lower neck radiating down TOPS of both shoulders with an " inflammed, stretched " feeling covering the top front shoulder area meeting the neck(like the muscle/tendon area.....this has gotten worse sore aching each day for past week). Have NeuroSurg appt in 2 days. I " think " it's bone spurs or herniated disk and /or rotator cuff tear/muscle tear. My neck is OFTEN stiff....have to pop it every minute to loosen it up.Soooooooooooooo........ What are each of YOUR thoughts on my problem???Diagnose, please. After reading so many (failed???) surgeries from y'all, it seems like you are living in MORE pain(even with the constpating pain meds) than you had BEFORE surgery....and for MANY years post-op!!! Appreciate any comments regarding how you would describe my situation. My neck on both sides " constantly aches, as does the tops of shoulders(both sides equally), and night sleeping with finger nimbness is keeping me from sleeping. Thanks a bunch!!!
