Guest guest
Sorry you went thru such a painful experience and wish I had joined soon enough to give you " the other side of the coin " . Mine was also extremely painful and I woke up out of a versed and morphine haze, screaming. And then the doc says to the med student " This is how we find the fakers " . I will never have that procedure done again. <bigred84022@...> wrote: And let me tell you, not to scare anyone away from getting it done if it is absolutely necessary, but it was the most painful experience I have ever had...I just wanted to share that not everyone has a good experience with it. I was expecting it to be easy and no big deal based off what people said here. So just be forwarned that it is very painful. Guest guest
It sounds like the combined an emg with the discogram. I believe an EMG is usually done just on the shoulder/arm. A friend of mine had told me his emg was more painfull than the discogram. I would imagine an emg done by directly firing on the nerves exiting the spine would be hell. I wonder (REALLY wonder) if there is an clinical benefit to this OTHER than checkin for " fakers " . Has anyone else ever had this done? wrote: >And let me tell you, not to scare anyone away from getting it done >if it is absolutely necessary, but it was the most painful >experience I have ever had.
