Guest guest
Nene, I have a herniated disk, spinal stenosis, pinched nerve, three buldging disks, and spiring in my neck. I'm seeing a neurosurgeon Dec 21. Guest guest
Nene, I suggest you contact your surgeon. It could be swelling even if not present the first week. In any case please contact the doc and let him know. This is the kind of thing surgery is supposed to correct and it's possible you may be forming scar tissue that is putting pressure on the nerve. It sounds like your surgery was a handful. Jean- beautiful GW hen you have there! Guest guest
Nene, I'm sorry you are having trouble after your surgery. I am with Diane contact your surgeon and get back in there and make them get you an answer as to why you are hurting more now than you were before. Just remember it is your body and you are the one in control. I hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
To add to your post: I have a large L5-S1 disc herniation that is sticking out half way into the spinal column. Its been like this for a long time now. My surgeon wants to do a Microdiscectomy, but seeing as though physical therapy has helped me a great deal I have opted out of surgery for now...However, I do still get really bad pain in my leg and toes. I fear a dropped foot in the future, but hopefully it wont happen. I will get the surgery at some point, but without insurance its impossible for me to get any kind of surgery at this time. AND the more I wait, the more damage is done to the nerve. I hope you are able to find some kind of relief. Have you done any physical therapy yet after the surgery?
