Just saw an ad for Asmanex

This is the first time I have ever heard of it. Does anyone else know

anything about it? At first glance it looks just like a Pulmicort

Turbhaler.

I have been taking this for a while in addition to Advair 500. (I

should probably back up and tell the group that I have been

experiencing a long-term sinus flare which has triggered my asthma.)

The actual inhaler is very much like the pulmocort one. I find it

very tolerable. My doc says the usual dosage is one puff twice a day,

but that it is safe to take up to three puffs twice a day. He said

that a lot of docs now are giving their patients more than one steroid

inhaler and having them take max doses of the inhalers now in an

effort to keep patients off oral steroids.
