Guest guest Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Hi, My name is and i live in England i have just started xolair injections after years of suffering with really bad asthma. I have become worse over the last few years but recently had many hospital admissions. I also became steroid dependent and as a result , gained over 4 stone in weight. On my last admission to hospital i asked my consultant about xolair, after a few months of trying he managed to get it for me. I am on 375ml every fortnight. It has absolutely transformed my life. I have gone from being housebound and on 27 pills a day to being back at the gym and walking miles with my dog. I have been told that the nhs will not fund it for anyone else over here as it is too expensive. I would be interested in finding out if there is anyone here thats on it. Quote
