Guest guest
Are there any Pros/Cons about adding probotic capsules (the kind bought at vitamin stores)to the brewing kombucha tea to give it a extra boost. Has anyone tried this before? The results? Or is it best to leave well enough alone.
Guest guest
I use probiotics to ferment grains and vegetables, but have never used then for Kombucha. My vegetables turn out great. Try it and see what you get. Guest guest
I don't think adding probiotic capsules to kombucha is a good idea. Kombucha is not a true probiotic. It doesn't really repopulate, but more makes the environment of the intestines more friendly to the " good " bacteria and yeasts. The probiotic could potentially be neutralized or it could damage the matrix forming organisms. This is just my opinion based on a lot of reading, but I'd recommend keeping them separate.
