Hi ,

First of all, I want to say that I am sorry to hear that your daughter is

having these troubles, and I am really sorry that she went ahead with her

breast implants. I had saline breast implants that made me very, very ill,

and I had to have them removed, and have spent the last 3 years trying to

regain my health.

In the last 3 years, I have joined a support group, as well as formed one of

my own to help saline implant victims, and have heard many, many stories

from women who have been harmed from their implants, all with very similar

symptoms and struggles.

There are some autoimmune disorders, such as lupus, in which bruising is one

of the many symptoms. Autoimmune disorders, while current medical opinion

states that implants do not cause these diseases, are in fact seen in many

of the women on these newsgroups. My own blood tests revealed an elevated

rheumatoid factor after getting implants, at the age of 37, and previous to

that I had enjoyed tremendously excellent health. My implants destroyed my

health.

I would assume that your daughter has been tested for thrombocytopenia.

This disorder can show signs of Immune and Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic

Purpura.

Many of the women suffer from Vitamin B12 deficiencies as well, and this may

or may not be a sign. I myself suffered from purpura in the weeks

immediately following my original surgery, but did not become devastatingly

ill until 8 months following implantation.

I will send you my story, and I am sorry to say, it will probably alarm you.

But, unfortunately, implants are not as safe as they have been promoted to

be, and in fact, can cause much harm. I hope that you will be able to find

some answers for your daughter. Please write if you have any more

questions, and please feel free to join the support group
