Guest guest
I second that notion and offer to chip in to give a one way ticket to Irak. I could not help but notice that the terrorist list that he/she posted omitted some of the worst terrorists of our time; henry kissinger, donald rumsfeld, richard perle, various israeli ministers bush the first, bush the second, reagan, i could go on and on but instead i will go and make an apricot miso basil dressing and this is my last political post to the list, i promise. phil Philip Gelb vegetarian chef shakuhachi player, teacher http://philipgelb.com I would wish that those who are in favor of war would just quit being armchar generals and go fight in the wars they favor. Surely they could get in as mercinaries or something if they are too old for a regular military unit. ..
Guest guest
Phil, that sounds like wonderful fun. I think it is very interesting that this thread begin with a discussion about NOT pounding the %#^@ out of the cabbage, and turned into a full blown ideological war of words. Maybe there is a lesson in here somewhere. Perhaps it is better to pound our cabbage to a pulp to make better kraut or kimchi rather than pounding our neighbors and fellow humans to make a " better " and more homogenized and pasteurized, i.e. " safer " world for those of us who have become attached to the great american dream of limitless excess. Guest guest
When planes started crashing into buildings, nobody said, " Oh my gosh, why would the Amish do this to us? " We knew who did it, and it turns out we were right. Talk about planet destroying...wait until they get a nuke. New York will know the day it happens. They already have tons of nukes, and they have been destroying the planet for a long time. And New Yorkers are overwhelmingly aware of who did it. And they are right, at least all the evidence points overwhelmingly at the Bush/Cheney gang. The evidence is absolutely irrefutable, if you are willing to actually look at it with an open mind. By the way, I think you are confusing the Amish with the Quakers. If only we could get the warmongers to go and fight their own wars for themselves we could be rid of them all, but unfortunately they prey upon the young and the naive with grand illusions of honor, patriotism, terrorism, and the american way (which has changed quite dramatically over the past 200+ years) to do the dirty work for them. Sorry, Mike, I can't even listen to my own voice of restraint. Tonio ps I wonder what microbes talk about in their intestinal net groups. Guest guest
I would advise not using those. A study has shown that they actually amplify frequencies used by the government. See MIT study http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/ Re: OT: Compromise was: A Good Pounding > So to make this hat, do I fold the tinfoil on the corners, or just on > the edges? Microbe 1: Leuconostoc (Leu) Microbe 2: Saccharomyces bourneii (Sacchi) Microbe 3: Lactobacillus Caucasus (Lacto) Microbe 4: E. Coli. (Col) Leu to Sacchi: Wow. It's nice and quiet around here lately. Sacchi: Yeah. I hope we get fed soon. Lacto: Too quiet. I think we need to up our defenses. Lets produce some more of that chemical warfare agent and make it nice and acidic here! Sacchi: OK. I'll make some aldehydes too. Col: Hey what's going on here? Why is it getting so, so, AAAAGGGH I'm choking .... Leu: GUYS! There's a coliform in our midst! Sacchi: Everyone get him! Lacto: He's dying!!!! Yay for our team! ========= From this we may learn that Nature consists of a combination of cooperation and ruthlessness. Human beings have typically thrived when they operate more out of cooperation than ruthlessness and when we've been able to understand our enemies and even get them on our side (as happened in history when, say, France was unified or the War of the Roses finally ended). But bacteria thrive more when they operate cooperatively too ... as one can see in kefir.

Guest guest
ok, i know i said it would be my last political announcement but i cant stand reading ignorance, especially about 9-11 and the absurd wars that came after. You said, we know who did it? Do we? Where is the evidence? I have yet to be shown any evidence that al qaeda bombed nyc. I have repeatedly been told who did it but no evidence has ever been shown. I have seen videos that prove beyond any doubt that secondary explosions occurred in both buildings. Friends of mine who were near by the site at the time said that floors were popping and looked as if there were numerous bombs going off one after the other and this is shown on some of the videos as well. Besides, how could 2 building fall so symetrically unless they were planned implosions????? And how could a skyscraper fall from heat after the main fires are put out?!? The owner of the world trade centers even said that he chose to pull building number 7 which means he decided to make it fall. Wake up america. PLEASE wake up and see how corrupt the new american century group that stole 2 elections actually is. good bye to the american republic and hello to the new american century empire. fun fun fun phil This is in response to the following comment: We knew who did it, and it turns out we were right. Guest guest
FWIW I agree with your pounding posts For the ecologically minded here. Northern Israel forests have been set on fire and devastated by Hizb'allah Katyusha rockets. Islam thrives in deserts, arid landscapes and deforested zones. This is my last political post H Re: OT: Compromise was: A Good Pounding Have you ever noticed what happens to a good natured child that compromises with a bully? They end up getting their lunch money taken away, day in and day out or some other abuse. If that same compromising child would have been able to discern that compromising with an abuser...namely the bully in this case, only leads to continued abuse, than that child would have known to 1. put their foot down in the first place and not allow the initial lunch money be taken away, or 2. Go to someone with more authority/power who could FORCE the bully to stop their abuse. In a perfect world, compromising with bullies and abusers sounds pretty. Here on Earth, however, compromising with a bully only makes them think they can bully you another day. Bullies/abusers/terrorists, don't respect boundaries. They don't care about what you want, what you need, what you believe, what you like. They are self centered. They have their own ideals of good and bad. Their own beliefs of how things should or should not be. Of what belongs to them. Their own agenda of what THEY want...and they WILL force themselves on you IF YOU LET THEM. This can be by being complacent or it can be as simple as being ignorant enough to think if one compromises with a bully, all their troubles will go away. A realistic perusal of past and present history SCREAMS this statement to be true. If a bully will not stop bullying, YOU MAKE THEM STOP. If you do not have the power to make them stop, you find a mommy or a daddy, or on a bigger scale, a governmental scale, an ally, to HELP YOU MAKE THEM STOP. If someone wants to kill you, there is only one thing you can do with that and it's self explanatory. Bacteria, just takes over. Good plan when you're dealing with a bully. Fill your gut with good bacteria and let it show the bad bacteria whose boss. No compromise, just wipe the bad guys out. I'm up with that. We could learn a lot from pro-biotics. :0) ¸... ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸..´ ..´¨¨)) ((¸¸..´ ...´ -:¦:- 2006~*~The Year of My Suddenlies -:¦:- ((¸¸..´*. Guest guest
No, sorry but O.T. would be more like my asking about Mochi, not debates. So that when I look through the O.T. I can find other interesting food info, NOT UNrelated topics.
