Guest guest Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 Hello everyone I have been on Xolair since February 2006 - 1 vial per month (low IGE of 91). I was on/off pred for numerous years and was on steadily from November 2005 to May 2006 (up to 75 - 100mg a day for approx 1 month). I wanted to start exercising again to build up my lung capacity (not that I was a star athelete prior to this!). My dr. suggested walking before I got back to low impact aerobics. Well....my foot started HURTING me after a few days (I was REALLY power walking), but I just keep going with it. I finally stopped walking because of the pain. After about 1 month I finally mentioned it to my dr. and I had an x- ray. I have a stress fracture on the top of my foot! I had to laugh because this is something athletes and soldiers get. Needless to say, she is going to schedule me for another bone denisity as my last one was last November (prior to the MEGA does of prednisone). I am 42 years old with multiple fractures in the past...thanks to predisone and also thanks to being on 16 puffs a day of Becloforte...very old corticosteriod. Anways...just another story of how bad prednisone is.....I got through the summer without it....if I can get through this winter without prednision, it will be all thanks to Xolair! Pamela Quote
