Guest guest Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 My doctor is going to attempt to gain insurance approval for Xolair by saying that my throat disorder is causing mild asthma symptoms. I'm pretty certain that insurance will still deny coverage, but it's worth a shot at least! This got me thinking about Genentech's Access to Care program again. If my doctor is going to bring asthma into the equation, there MIGHT be a chance that Genentech would assist me with the out-of-pocket costs of Xolair. I would love to hear from anyone who is on Genentech's Access to Care program. What kind of process did you have to go through to get approval? Did you have to speak to Genentech's representatives yourself, or did the doctor do all the talking for you? Has anyone received prescription assistance for Xolair when their asthma was only considered " mild? " Thanks! , 32, Louisville Quote
