Tyra,

How much ones rib hump will improve depends on a lot of factors. I'd say mine reduced about 70 percent. My last revivion went into the thorasic, and it made the world of difference in how I look. My hips are now level. I do have the ever so slight list to the right, so slight no one notices but me and my surgeon. With the hump improvement I wear sweaters, something I never did. Also I had given up jeans before surgery, the waist band would get into the concave part of my back, and would dig there till I would blister. With the hump vastly improved, that doesn't happen anymore, and I so pleased to wear jeans again. While I'm on the chunky side( working on it), right after revision I lost 45 pounds, I was wearing cute tops tucked in, amazing.

I think most of us go into revision looking to get rid of the pain, for me a added benefit was the major improvement in how I looked. Before I looked disabled, it was noticeable, and now I pass for normal. It was my biggest surprise from revision, looking better, beside feeling better.

I don't think I have seen anything specific about this, but after revision, will be able to wear clothes that fit at the waist? I haven't been able to wear the ore fitted tops--always cover-ups for my "hump" and uneven hips. Any comments, anyone?

Hi Cheryl,

This is such an wonderful post that you posted. Look at you girl you have come a long ways in just 1 year!!!! I always get excited when I hear these kind of stories. You are on your way to being where you want to be. It is such a good feeling to have your clothes start to feel baggy--love that feeling. Keep up your amazing job that you are doing. Your story will inspire others too.

Hugs,

Suzanne
