I got a letter today from my insurance company stating that because my

Lung function test was over 80% of the predicted whatever that they

would not pay for me to take Xolair!! This is so unfair because 1. I

was (and still am) taking a maintenance dose of Prednisone in order to

keep my Asthma under some degree of control and 2. Even if I weren't

on Prednisone, I could have been having a good Asthma day when they

did the test. I can't believe that they are basing their decision on

this alone. This was my light at the end of the tunnel but now I feel

as if maybe I should get off the pred and let my Asthma get totally

out of control and then go and take another test!!! Any suggestions???
