Guest guest Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Night sweats due to prednisone? I thought I was still in menopause-----:-)(I'm 68 years old!) Seriously, I am glad to know that others have had difficulty sleeping an entire night regardless of the pred. I do know that when I have had to take a round in the past, I could count on reading until 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning, just to get sleepy enough to go to bed. It was hard to function teaching school when I was on pred. I do still have nights where I wake up several times, but usually go right back to sleep. Occasionally, I will be so wide awake that I get up, have a cup of green tea and read until I get sleepy again--anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. I do take short naps sometimes during the day, but not every day. And I haven't been on theodur in about 17 years. At one point I was keeping a record of my meds, but I finally gave up. It was enough to keep up with it every time the regimen changed. I take my third xolair shot in a week and a half. Yesterday and today have been very warm and extremely humid making it hard to breathe outside. But inside I have been okay. Hope all of you are breathing well and sleep well tonight. I also sleep better thanks to Xolair - I only wake up 3 or 4 times a night instead of 7 or 8, which used to be the norm. Also used to get night sweats due to pred, but no longer. Take care, and keep getting well! Addy > > > I've asked before if any of you have these symptoms.
