Guest guest Posted March 19, 2000 Report Posted March 19, 2000 Just wondering if anyone was able to listen to the real audio at this site: http://www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/Senate/New.htm regarding the Senate hearings on Lyme disease in Austin, March 16. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. I couldn't get it to work, would love to hear what was said. , great letter to the editor, I hope they respond. Marta -From: " R. " <rjamesmartin@...> Dear Editors: I must have missed something. I've been watching both local papers for at least a notice of the hearing(s), and looked closely this morning for coverage. Senator alone is worthy, not to mention his taking to task the various slothful State agencies. I sure didn't find it. Below you will find what the Senate web site released ( http://www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/Senate/New.htm ) I couldn't make the Austin meeting due to expenses and health, but the written testimony I submitted is posted online at http://www.angelfire.com/biz/romarkaraoke/TXAustin.html Perhaps you can at least give advance notice of the May 9th, 2000 Dallas hearing. There are estimates of over 300 people in Tarrant county alone DIRECTLY afflicted with tick-borne diseases, and when you add the multiplier affect of family, friends, employers, etc., it's at least worth a public notice. If you follow-on and explore the pet and livestock endangerment factor, it is disgraceful not to pay attention. The Austin hearings had many out-of-state and local doctors attending. They know the danger of inattention. Quote

Guest guest Posted March 19, 2000 Report Posted March 19, 2000 Hi, Marta,We tried, and the audio was too low to hear. Guest guest Posted March 19, 2000 Report Posted March 19, 2000 The Audio takes a minute or two to download, and if there is heavy net-traffic it can be a booger! it is long, and some is completely gone, due too Sen making points about Dr M off record. Sometimes they put emails into the bulk or trash file that do not belong there. Change your settings if thats the case. If you still have problems, just see all the posts here at the main website: / Doug Quote
